This is a basic dress with a pretty pattern on it. The style is what I would consider modest, because the neckline is high, and the length reaches my mid-calf. It's also not a fitted dress, despite the belted waist. The fabric is a thin to medium-weight polyester, and the fabric of the entire dress is pleated, so it is not tight anywhere. I think the dress is cute, but it looks a bit matronly on me, and because the fabric is pleated, I feel like it's not super flattering on my figure, though I do appreciate the belted waist. It looks better from the front than from the side. From the side, I look a bit matronly and frumpy in the dress. At least, I feel like I do. But regardless, the dress looks in person just like it does in the product photos, and this style would work well for business wear, going to church, or even a nice dinner out. I don't love that it's sleeveless because when combined with the high neck and the loose fit, it's not very flattering. But I do think that this dress would work really well with a jacket or sweater. At the time of this review, the current price is $97.13 for size 12 and $64.80 for the rest of the sizes. I feel that the $64.80 price is a fair price for a dress of this style and quality from this brand. It's made well, and the fit is true to size. My ordered size matched exactly what I received and fits well mostly everywhere, but there’s too much material concentrated in the chest and armpit area. I also suspect this design would not look good on less busty women due to that excess fabric. Despite those minor issues, this is an overall positive review. DKNY women’s sleeveless is an elegant looking but modest dress if you will add a cover for the shoulders like a cardigan. It also has full coverage in the chest area. The length of the dress is below the knees which also adds to the modest look of the dress. This would be good as a church dress and also for the office. The dress has a belt for the waist area which adds definition and style. I personally like a dress with a non removable belt so it can’t be lost, but this belt is removable and gives the option of having a more loose fitting dress. The pleated style of the dress and the white dots has a very classy look. The dress is well made and this will be great with high heels. Read more
