DKNY Womens Maylaya Lace Up Combat Boot

I still wear some styles of DM’s but at 55yo, some of them are just too heavy for my legs. I wanted a combat style boot, but dressier and at a decent price. Enter these beautiful babies! These come up a little higher than some of the usual combat-style boots; the patent leather appears as though it will be durable and not pull away or tear easily; they are lighter than DM’s, sturdy on my feet, fit close to perfect, are comfortable, easy to get in and out of thanks to a side zip (but still need my shoe horn), and the metal beads on the laces are freakin’ cool. These are the cutest boots I found, look awesome with leggings, and the price was half the cost of DM’s. I wear a size 5.5-6, my feet are getting wider with age, and these fit like a glove - they are a bit narrow and snug, but after walking in them with a thin sock, they don’t hurt. I ordered my usual size 7.5 and they fit wonderfully. I ordered for a specific concert outfit but will wear them regularly because I just love the way they look and feel. The metal lace things add some flare for an edgier look. I ordered this pair and the patent Dr Marten’s and the DKNY was superior in literally every category! Cheaper? Yes. Padded interior? Yes. If I could give zero stars I would. These boots look like they are 10 years old. Except for the soles. The soles look brand new. It looks like the patent 'leather' has separated from the boot. The boot looks extremely dull in most places. Not like patent leather at all. Is that the reason for the extreme sale price? I just thought the price was because they were an old model. I would return them. But I just don't feel like going through what I would have to. Because currently neither of my printers are working. Read more
