We bought three of these lights to replace our pantry light in the kitchen and our two master bedroom closet lights. They installed very easily, but you'll need to use your own plastic wire nuts, as the ones that come with the light are too small for American wiring. They have super bright, white LEDs that are well distributed inside the translucent dome for great, uniform light coverage. They look very nice and the quality of the parts and manufacturing is excellent. We plan to buy more for our other closets and for our garage. Read more
I got this thinking I would get to install it sometime over the weekend. I thought I would just open it up and look at it. when I did I thought wow, there's nothing to it. I had to install it to see how it would work. It was fast and easy, I have never worked with electricity before so this was the perfect fist experience. The little light is awesome, super bright. It's so funny I have been putting off this project for 11/2 years because I didn't want to replace a florescent light that went bad in the laundry room. Good little light but mine came missing a few parts, forcing me to Macguyver my install...the opposite of what’s advertised as essentially plug and play. Good for small spaces (walk in closet), it’s very bright. Looks nice, not too fancy. Read more
The ceiling light was used and a closet. It is not too bright or harsh. Easy to mount with the transformer having to be pushed into the electrical box are mounted somewhere. I did have a switch in the closet to turn it on and off as for there isn't a switch in the light Read more
I purchased this for closet lighting. While it does work, it is very poorly constructed: 1) The mounting bracket is very thin gauge metal. When the light is mounted to the bracket, the ends of the bracket pull away from the wall, creating a gap between the fixture and the wall. A sturdier bracket would prevent this. 2) The holes punched in the bracket to mount the light to the bracket are too small. You will notice that when the light arrives, these screws are not fully seated - this is why. The screws are made of cheap metal (certainly not steel) and will strip out when you try to screw them in the bracket holes that are too small. Enlarge the holes before you mount the bracket to the wall and you will save yourself some frustration. VERDICT: Does it work? Yes. Is it something I am proud of? No. Would I buy it again? The light is very small, I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. That's ok, but what wasn't was that the bracket that came with it didn't fit a standard ceiling electrical outlet box. The mounting holes on the bracket were too far apart. I had to measure and drill extra holes. Also, the light itself is extremely harsh. This is NOT a soft light, be aware of that. I gave 1 star for ease of installation because of the crappy bracket. It's bright; harsh, but bright, so it got 5 stars and 5 stars for value because it performs well. Read more
This light is perfect for my linen closet. We mounted it vertical on the wall. We don’t use the remote control. My hubby wired it direct so it would turn on with the switch that we already had. The fixture we had before was too big and I could barely get anything off the top shelf, this solved my problem. It’s so much brighter than the old light also. He did have some problems installing it but I think it was “him”, not the light. Read more
