THE LIGHT FIXTURE: Very esthetic and easy to install. The tone of the light color can be changed from daylight to warm yellowish. It can be dimmed too. When turned on using a wall switch, it remembers the last setup such as the brightness and color. The light brightness is good enough for medium size living room and is sufficient even for reading. REMOTE CONTROLS: Here is an issue I ran into. The lights are fine , but I bought a second light for another spot in our living room. The idea was to program one remote control to operate both lights, instead of using two remote controls . It can be done with the smart LED drivers. My first light came with the sort of oblong remote control with four extra on/off buttons located at the bottom of the remote control. With this remote control it is possible to control four groups of lights independently. So, I bought the second light which was the same model as my first light and from the same seller, but... it came with a different remote control. I was trying to add the second light to the first remote control, the one with those four buttons , but it did not work. So, the next step was to contact the customer service, and... it turned to be an awesome experience, not often seen. Here is my 10 stars for the customer service and this one should be set as an example for other sellers. After I sent my initial email describing the programming problem, they responded within two hours, regardless it was a weekend. They sent me instructions for both remote controls and shortly I had a second email from them stating that they founded that these to remotes and the lights LED drivers are incompatible. They offered free replacement lights so I can match the remote control. The replacement arrived within a week, free of charge. Pros: - Easy to install. The installation process is the same as for any ceiling light. It is just a matter of two provided screws that hold the fixture to the electrical box in the ceiling. Wire nuts are provided to. Because this fixture is very lightweight so there is no problem to hold it on a step ladder. - Very bright at full brightness. - Can be dimmed. - The color can be changed from daylight to warm. - It can go in into a night mode rapidly by a long press on on/off button. - Can be turned on and off from wall switch and the light remembers last settings. - The cover can be easily replaced for periodical cleaning if required. - Most important: since it’s LED it saves money on electrical bill and is environmentally friendly. I needed a light to illuminate my dining space that sits on the back side of my island. When we moved in, we had to install an island hood, as the previous owner had a light/ceiling fan installed directly over the stove (oil on the fan blades, covered in dust and dirt). The stove was not vented elsewhere. The hood needed to be properly centered over the stove, which left a hole in the ceiling right next to it, where the former light/ceiling fan had been. My options were limited due to proximity to the hood, and aesthetics of it. I chose to get a semi-flush fixture, rather than a positional track light. This one had multiple lighting options, including adjustable light levels, light temperature/tone, and a nightlight setting, and it was an LED. I can use different settings for the different activities done in that space. When I’m cooking and need to see we’ll, the cool bright setting is perfect. When we are eating, I can lower the brightness and change it to a warmer tone so it feels more relaxed. In the evening, I can put it on nightlight mode so I can see my way through the space without having to light everything up. It looks good next to the hood, because the hood is circular and black. The light mimics that size, shape, and color. And it was simple to install. Very lightweight, and easy to clean. And it’s LEDs, which I love. They don’t heat everything up, and the kitchen gets plenty hot all on its own. I wish the hood had LEDs too. Why do I need heat-producing lighting over my stovetop??? This light was installed professionally and didn’t come on. It glowed faintly, so the electrician knew it was manufacturing error. Our electrical was double checked. I contacted Amazon and seller by email multiple times. No response. Amazon can’t do anything this time. Otherwise is a decent and sleek light. The other one we bought works well, takes a full second delay when switched on though. UPDATE: The sellers contacted me and sent a new light and an apology for the defect! We now have two working lights and they're great! We like the flexibility of different warm and cool modes and brightness in our playroom and dining area. I installed it in my boys room and it worked great for 10 months and now it won’t turn on. All wiring and power is correct but the bulbs are dead. Not great when it was only used a couple hours a day. Read more
