Love this thing I bought it so that I could share the weight verbally with my community as I’m on a weight loss journey. I bought this scale for my mother in her late 70s, who has significant vision loss. The talking feature is a lifesaver: it clearly announces her weight in a steady voice, so she doesn’t have to lean down or try to read numbers. The large LCD screen is bright enough for what she can still see, and the platform feels sturdy and safe. It’s also surprisingly sleek with tempered glass with a low profile so she can step on and off without tripping. The readings have been consistent and accurate compared to my own doctor’s scale, and the 440-lb capacity gives plenty of margin. Setup was simple (just pop in the batteries). If you or someone you love has trouble seeing a regular bathroom scale, this is an excellent, reliable option that takes the stress out of daily weigh-ins. I bought this scale to replace the one the had me on a weight plateau for 8 days while I was on a 1200 Calorie diet. This one shows me the daily ups and downs that any experienced dieter experiences. It reads to the nearest 2/10 of a pound and agrees within 1/10 pound with other scales I have. The only problem is its voice. It has a sound like one of those old pocket transistor radios turned up to full volume. The voice is quite loud. It could do with some volume adjustment but it does not have one. So I am spending another 30 dollars on a different brand. Be writing to you again later. Read more
Great scales, super easy just step right on wait a couple of seconds and it reads your weight. It’s extremely helpful for my husband who is legally blind. The quality is good for the price too! Very easy battery change on the bottom. I would definitely recommend. Read more
