I don't understand why a man can't find a casual pair of dress pants that aren't "slim cut" but that don't also have leg openings that rival bell-bottoms. I'm short, but I have muscular legs and can't wear 'slim cut' pants. So, I have to buy regular cut, because good luck finding athletic cut in stock in a 33" waist or even at all. But, come on designers; a bit of a taper is a good thing. I like the pants, but honestly, if I keep them, I'm going to have to spend just as much getting them altered/tapered as I spent on the pants themselves. Otherwise, they are comfortable and stretchy. These pants came in the mail the same day another pair of "high tech" pants arrived. The two pairs of pants couldn't be more different. And I'm impressed with these Dockers for a number of reasons. First, they may be "tech" trousers, but they're made primarily of cotton, a choice I appreciate. I'm willing to wear all-synthetic pants for the comfort and ease-of-care, but I like cotton's feel. Second, these are solid pants. I think they weigh four times as much as the other "tech" pants I got, and the material feels far more substantial. Third, I like the crease and cut. I would wear these pants with a jacket--not something I had in mind when I ordered them. I thought I was getting a more formless pair of lighteweight, quick-dry pants, kind of like several pairs I have from Columbia that are exceptionally light and cool. That's not these pants. Yet, fourth, these are stretchy and quite comfortable. A strong recommendation. Get these for fall, winter and spring. They're great. Read more
