These are the best compression socks for wide calves that I have found. I wear compression socks every day to minimize swelling of my legs and feet. They are soft, comfortable, fit well, easy to put on and do not create the "tourniquet" effect on the upper leg by rolling down. I enthusiastically recommend them.! My only wish is that they would make brown socks, not just navy, black, beige and white. Read more
I'm 6'-4" 33" inseam. have a 21” calf, 13” ankle, and wear a size 15 2E shoe. Length from center of knee to bottom of foot is 21”. researched different brands offerings and sizes and purchased several brands over the years since 2019 trying to find a good quality compression sock. i finally found this brand a couple months ago and purchased 4XL size. have about 8 pairs now. these socks stay above the calf, every once in a while pulling them up - no big deal. the other brands would not stay up – roll down or not come above the calf. i find the quality to be very good. socks are not too thin or thick and i find my feet do not sweat as much. compression is good with these - easy to put on and take off. i would like if these came in a higher compression, but that's just my opinion. i plan to write another review in a couple months about how these held up wearing daily and washing after each use. Excellent value, great quality, just the right compression and length to be comfortable and able to get them on without much difficulty (unlike other brands we've tried and returned). These have effectively helped reduce swelling my mother's legs. This is our second purchase, and I'm sure when we need more, we will choose this brand. Read more
Very comfortable. I really like the softness. The amount of compression is good. The wide calf is a good option for me. They stay up well until I pull my pants down for the toilet, then my tight legged jeans tend to pull them down - to be expected. I've seen a noticeable reduction is swelling around my ankles. But I have to ding them for durability. One pair got a hole in the toe the second time I wore them. A second pair is showing a wear spot on my big toe at the 4th time I'm wearing them and will likely poke through soon. I'm on the lookout for socks that are very similar with reinforced toes and heels. Haven't found any yet. Don't let the grey spots of these black socks make you think it's a reinforced area - the material seems the same other than the color. Read more
It took me 3 tries to finally find the perfect compression socks for me. I have 19" calves and I'm short, so other socks were so tight that I couldn't pull them up and the top band would roll over and leave a deep red welt on my leg. These Doctor's Select Compression socks are so comfortable. I can easily pull them up and the band stays flat and doesn't roll over. I don't have red marks or welts on my legs when I remove them after wearing them all day! I look forward to putting them on each day. I bought my first 3 pair last week and purchased another 3 pair and got those today. I like the cute prints. I have the flowers and the polka dots. If you have larger calls, then give these compression socks a try. You will be glad that you did! Read more
My legs have really been bothering me lately, and I am working on the computer a lot, sitting with my feet and legs down. The fluid swelling in my ankles and feet has been very uncomfortable so I decided to try compression socks for the first time. Knowing how disappointed I have been in the past with stockings not properly fitting I decided to size up from the chart, and I am glad I did. My calves are 21 inches right now, a full inch from what they have usually been, so I went with the 4X, which is supposed to fit 21-23 inch. They are very snug on my legs, I am not sure that extra two inches would work if you actually had 23 inch calves. So be aware. You may want to opt for a size up. They do reach fully to my knees, which I was also concerned about. I wear a 10WW shoe and these reached up 16 inches once on, from heel to back of my knee, with a little extra, and room in the toe area, so they aren't tight in the toes. Having said that about measurements, these seem to be made really well, and feel great. They are not overly thick or heavy. I immediately felt sensation in my legs that at first made me a little nervous... (tingly) which then became a very nice supported feeling. I think I'm going to absolutely love these, especially while working. The cost is what really drove me to buy these, as I have been seeing online sales of a particular brand that cost almost $30 per pair, with gimmicks like buy one get one free, and buy two and get three free, but the problem with that is that you are spending a minimum of XX dollars and you have no idea how they will fit, feel, or if they would be easy to return. With Amazon, I knew if I didn't like these I could easily return them, but I am not going to need to do that. I like them. They fit, and so far they are making my legs feel supported. 5 Stars for fit and comfort, and they arrived quickly. Read more

I think I've tried every type of compression socks. I could never get them on , even with help, and I purchased the correct size. Same thing with taking them off. So I happened to come across these bamboo ones on Amazon....Same size, and have none of the issues that I had with every other pair that I've bought. Very easy to get on and off plus they do their job perfectly. They aren't painful at all. They're perfect. Bamboo is the way to go. I have serious edema in both legs. I would recommend these to everyone! You'll have to measure your calves to figure out your size. They are well worth it and very comfortable. Read more
