Great tool for dogs to tell you when they need to go out - Wish it came with training instructions

I received this a couple days ago and have been training my dogs using treats how to use it. My only complaint is that this came with zero instructions on how to train your dog to use it. The instructions only tell you how to change the ring tone. It would have been really nice for them to include training instructions as well. I had to go elsewhere online to find out how other people train their dogs. So that's a big fail for me on their part. The product its self is well built. There is the receiver that you plug in somewhere inside the house that you'll hear it. I believe there are 4-5 levels of volume. I have ours turned to the quietest and I can still hear it from the other room which is fine. There are two touch-sensitive transmitters that you attach on either side of the door. It comes with either velcro pads or adhesive pads. I used one part of the velcro for the pad of the transmitter and then I used 3M removable adhesive strips to attach to our sliding glass door because I wanted something that wasn't going to be a pain to remove later. Overall, it seems like our dogs are learning. It'll take over and over and over use for it to become 2nd nature. I think the times they have triggered it may have been coincidence but I still treated it as a correct behavior. I think this will be a good tool for them. It mostly relies on ME keeping up the training so they learn. UPDATE: it’s been a couple months now and our German Shepherd is using it regularly not only to go outside but to come back inside. You DO have to put in the work and give them a treat EVERY time before you let them out (and ideally before they come back in) for them to learn but keep doing it. Repetition builds muscle memory even for dogs and once they realize doing that thing get them a treat (and eventually none needed) to go outside, they’ll do it. Dont be lazy. You are training them and they are trying to learn. And the first time you hear the bell go off by themselves, you’ll be so excited. Read more

Works as intended!

This was easy to set up and it’s definitely LOUD. I wish there was another level down between the softest sound and no sound. But it works great! I showed my dog how to use it once and now he’s got it! He has also showed the others how to use it both inside and out, so no more scratching on the door to come back in. I like that you can change the sound or turn it to silent. I had one years ago that went to go live with God when the dog kept hitting it and I was in the shower. It seems well made and sturdy. We’ll see how long and how well it lasts. But so far so good! Read more

Great for small dogs

I have small and somewhat skittish dogs that are afraid of floor buttons (and struggle to push them). These door bells are touch sensitive and wall mounted, so I used treats on them to get the dogs used to touching them, and the accompanying doorbell chimes, every time they went outside. Now they’re starting to ring them on their own, so this has made an effective work-around for me compared to other options. It’s easy to set up, using Velcro stickers to wall mount. It’s also quite loud at full volume- we use it on our main floor and it’s audible from the basement and upper floor. Read more

It works

Train your dog to use it and they will let you know when they got to go play or their fo their business. Easy to train on and you get a choice of tunes to pick. I have reg doorbell sound when the want in and a classic song for when they want out. Best part. No deep scratches on a brand new door or wall Read more

Good addition to our house.

Great addition for my pet. Product was more then fair for the price. Tons of additional ringtone however the system can be a challenge to program even with the instructions. However if you dont want to change the tone it works right out of the box no issues. Read more

Excellent!!!

The media could not be loaded. These doorbells work great. I have two Australian shepherds, brother and sister. My male Jax has it figured out and uses it every time to come in, not necessarily to go out. My female, his sister, Juno, has only used it a few times, she’s my stubborn girl who does not like to follow the rules. I have a set of jingle bells hanging on my patio door on the inside that they’ve been using since they were puppies, Juno still insists on using the jingle bells over the doorbell. She has an occasion used the doorbell outside to come in but only when she’s been out there too long. Neither of my dogs will bark to go in or out, but they will however, bark at every dog walking by 🤦🏼‍♀️ I do have a video of Jax using the bell, I had to coax him to use it because he already had but I needed to get it on video for review purposes and I got lucky to get him to do it again. I received this around September 20 of 2025, it is now October 27 and I have not charged it as of yet. So I would say the battery life is very good since the bells, especially the one outside get used several times a day. As you can see in the video, it’s very sensitive to touch, which is perfect for his nose to tap it! The Velcro works perfectly for this. I have a box full of different size Velcro so if need be, I can always switch it out if I need to move it. We have a piece of plexiglass on the bottom of our screen door to prevent dogs from jumping up on the screen door, it’s been on there for years and it needs to be replaced. That is where I stuck the doorbell so when the time comes and I have to move it, I’ll have to switch out the Velcro I’m sure because the stick is very powerful and I don’t know that I will get it off of the plexiglass.
