I ordered these unscented pet ears wipes to use specifically on one of my cats ears. His ears get dirty, but not actually infected as long as I wipe out his ears and clean out accumulated debris. These wipes worked better than doubled-over tissue on the end of my finger. The durability of my finger not poking through was enjoyable and the pre-moistened wipe cleaned far better. And the crazy thing is about the whole ear cleaning experience, is that the whole time the cat is purring like mad, leaning into me, evidently he actually likes it.
