Our elderly cat suddenly had super gunky eyes, worse than I'd ever seen. I'm talking a ton of good in the corners and you could see a film covering most of her eyes. I got this to see if it would help and spare her yet another trip to the vet. She's pretty wiggly and stubborn when it's medicine time so I was expecting it to be a pain to give her some of these drops in her eyes, but she didn't fuss at all. In fact she hardly reacted! I have a couple of issues with the packaging of this product. One, the dropper bottle. I use it on the 2 of my 3 cats who are allergy prone, and often get a dark discharge in the corners of their eyes. Don't know about dogs, but cats are more apt to struggle if you try to use a dropper on their eyes. Since they need to be wiped clean with a cotton pad anyway, (in order to remove the debris), it is way easier to squirt some of the liquid directly on the cotton pad, and then wipe the eye. It takes two hands to keep the cat still and wipe an eye at a time clean, and it is awkward to leave an open dropper bottle on a nearby flat surface while cleaning their eyes. My other criticism is that the maker is not ingenuous enough to print the quantity on the bottle. Not a heck of a lot of product for $15 plus including tax. When it ran out all too quickly, I decided to buy a bottle of Nutri Vet Eye Rinse, and I got a full 4 oz of product, which contained way more applications; it has a squirt bottle that can't spill if it tips over, and makes application a breeze, and it every bit as gentle and effective. I rinse my cats' eyes 2-3x a week as needed, and get far more apps to a bottle. Read more
