This balm is the bomb! Made with some of the same ingredients that I’ve used in my handcrafted balms for HUMANS and other skincare products, (beeswax, carnauba wax, coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, oat extract, and vitamin E), it is a very effective product for healing and protecting our fur babies’ paws and other areas that get rough and damaged. The carnauba wax (also used in lipsticks and lip balms) is an excellent emollient with a water-resistant nature that provides a protective layer on your doggie’s paws, making it perfect for those potty-breaks and walks in inclement weather such as snow and hot summer sidewalks in the city. That’s why I bought this not only for my sweet pupster but also for my 2 grand-dogs who live in Chicago and Washington, DC. Other things I like about it: 1) It smells fresh and natural, not artificial. 2) If my dog licks it, it’s safe for her. 3) The attention given to protective packaging - from the box to the actual stick that keeps it from being contaminated in anyway before I can use it. 4) The date on the box showing the manufacturing date as well as the expiration date. 5) The fact that I can even use it on MY hands which get dry and occasional eczema and it helps! If I could, I would give it a 10. My almost 7 year old golden retriever loves this balm!! I love the easy application on her paws and she LOVES the relief from rough and chapped paws. We're gifting it to our grandfur baby who lives in a rainy climate. We know this will help ease her paw issues also. It's the perfect stocking stuffer for all puppers. It's perfect. It's safe to use, it's easy to apply and it accomplishes the goal. We will be purchasing this often for our pup and our grandpup Read more

I recently tried the Nose2toes balm for my dog, and I'm really impressed! My pup has been struggling with dry paws and a bit of a rough nose, especially with the colder months approaching. This balm has been a game changer. The texture is smooth and creamy, making it easy to apply. I just use the deodorant like applicator and gently rub it onto his nose and paw pads. He seems to actually enjoy it, which is a plus! It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue, so I don’t have to worry about him sliding around on the floor afterward. It also did not stain cloth like my bedding or his beds. After using it for a couple of weeks, I've noticed a significant improvement. His nose is back to being soft and moist, and his paws look much healthier. Plus, it’s made with natural ingredients, so I feel good about using it. It’s nice to have a product I can trust to help soothe his skin without any harsh chemicals. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Nose2toes balm for anyone looking to keep their furry friend's nose and paws in top condition. It’s simple, effective, and my dog seems to love it. The applicator makes it so easy to apply. Read more

Detailed Review: Nose2Toes Dog Paw Balm – 40g (2-in-1 Paw Balm and Nose Moisturizer) The Nose2Toes Dog Paw Balm is marketed as a natural, lick-safe moisturizer designed to soothe dry, itchy, cracked, or irritated paw pads and noses. Formulated for both dogs and cats, this product aims to protect against environmental stressors such as heat, cold, ice, and rough terrain while also offering gentle hydration for sensitive areas. After using it consistently, here is a comprehensive breakdown of how the balm performs across ease of use, texture, scent, absorption, results, and pet reaction. Texture, Consistency & Ingredients The balm has a smooth, buttery texture—soft enough to spread easily, but firm enough in the tin that it doesn’t melt into a mess. It’s clearly made from natural, plant-based oils and butters, which helps avoid harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances that many pets react to. Notably: It’s non-greasy once worked into the skin. The consistency warms quickly with body heat, making application gentle and easy. The natural ingredients leave a subtle, clean scent—not perfumed, which is ideal for sensitive animals. Overall, the texture feels deliberate: strong enough to protect, soft enough for daily use. Application & Ease of Use One of the standout features is how effortless it is to apply. Because it’s soft and spreads smoothly, you can massage it into paw pads without pushing or tugging, which is important for pets with cracked or sore areas. On paws, it glides on quickly and is easy to control. It doesn’t leave messy residue on your hands after a quick wipe. Since it’s lick-safe, there’s no need to worry if your pet decides to taste it afterward. It’s also convenient for on-the-go: the 40g size is compact, lightweight, and easy to store in a bag or grooming kit. Pet Reaction — Especially My Pomeranian Here’s where personal experience matters. On paws: Most pets tolerate it extremely well. My own Pomeranian didn’t react negatively to it on his paws. He let me massage it in without too much fuss, and he didn’t obsessively try to lick it off afterward, which is a good sign for a balm meant to stay in place. On the nose: This is where things differed. My Pomeranian did not care for it at all when applied to his nose. He pulled back, tried to wipe it off, and seemed bothered by the feeling—even though the product itself is gentle and unscented. Some dogs simply dislike anything being applied to their noses, and this balm was no exception for him. So while it’s marketed as a nose moisturizer, the reaction can vary depending on the sensitivity and personality of the dog. Protection Against Weather & Surfaces The balm is effective at forming a protective layer against: Hot pavement Cold sidewalks Dry indoor heating Salted winter roads Rough terrain or abrasive surfaces It doesn’t create a thick wax-like coating, but instead a thin, flexible barrier that keeps paws from drying out while still letting them breathe. This is especially good for small breeds like Pomeranians, which can be sensitive to extreme temperatures. Moisturizing Power & Healing Benefits With regular use, the balm does a solid job at: Softening rough paw pads Reducing cracking Easing mild irritation Improving overall texture Keeping paws hydrated in dry climates After a few days of daily application, it’s common to see noticeable improvement in softness and elasticity. If paws were flaky or cracked, they usually become smoother and more resilient. On noses—where tolerated—it can reduce flakiness and dryness, although again, some dogs dislike anything being applied there. Pros Natural, pet-safe ingredients Safe if licked Smooth, easy-spread texture Light scent that doesn’t overwhelm sensitive animals Effective for dry, cracked paws Provides environmental protection Softens skin with regular use Portable and compact Great for multi-pet households (dogs and cats) Cons Some pets, including my Pomeranian, may dislike it on the nose Requires consistent use to maintain results Extremely active pets may need reapplication more often Very cracked or severely injured pads may need additional care beyond the balm Final Verdict The Nose2Toes Dog Paw Balm is an excellent everyday moisturizer for pets’ paws, offering both protection and healing in a natural, easy-to-use formula. It softens, conditions, and shields paws from environmental stress without leaving a greasy mess. While it performs well as a nose moisturizer, pet tolerance varies. My Pomeranian was perfectly happy during paw application but did not care for it on his nose, which is something potential buyers should consider if their dog is similarly sensitive. Overall, it’s a high-quality, dependable balm for routine grooming, especially useful for dogs and cats that struggle with dryness, rough surfaces, or seasonal temperature changes. Read more
