This would be great for a disaster relief setting. Beyond that, it would be useful for traveling with your small dog in-cabin on a flight or on a long-ish car ride. For me, it's going in our emergency go bag. We have a large dog and this wouldn't go far with her but it'll tide you over for a short span and buy a little time to figure things out. The bowl is made of a thick, pressed paper fiber which holds about half - maybe three quarters of a cup of water. Obviously, it doesn't include a K-cup but I added it to the photo to give a sense of scale. There's just a little paw full of kibble and 3 Snausage-type treats. The poo bag is decent sized but thin plastic. All of this is folded up and nested within the bowl and then packed in a resealable plastic bag. The bowl takes a beating during shipping and so it ended up fairly deformed before it had ever been used No question, you could whip up your own kit with similar items you likely already have in your home. I wanted to write a review of this product because information was lacking regarding the size of the dog for this day pack. I have an English Bulldog, so there is no way this little package is anything more than a treat. Her tongue won't fit in the paper drinking cup and the food is about one gulp. The treats are pretty cool and I almost got mugged when I opened the package. She liked those. So... if you have a smaller dog (like a mini-Dachshund, Yorkie, Cav, etc.), this is an awesome little pack to have in the "go kit". But the product description with retrievers, labs, setters, etc., is totally off... no way they could get much from the water bowl and the food is minimal. You will need to bring your own water, but it does have a little water bowl that'll last for one or maybe two uses if you let it dry out. My dog would just eat it. The food is enough in case of an emergency but not really a meal for anything dachshund size or larger. The treats are treats and apparently tasty. The dog poop cleanup bag is handy.. standard fare. If you have a small dog, this might be a great day trip pack... but dogs rarely need food and water on a walk... maybe a hike or trip to the beach. I can see it being very useful for that but not for a walk. I also like that the package has a ziplock top for reuse... and more realistically, to hold all the leftovers until you can reach a trash receptacle. Five stars for small dogs... but not for dogs over about 25 lbs because the water bowl is too small and there just isn't enough stuff to make it worthwhile. Read more

As a dog walker, I already keep each of these items readily available. It is clever, and I chose it on impulse thinking it would be a great idea! But the amount that comes with it is singular use only, and it is pretty pricey for just one use. Bulk purchasing at a lower price per item would be ideal. For that, I would give it five stars. And it only comes with one dog waste bag…sometimes a dog needs two 😆. My last concern is that the nutritional information is not readily available on the packaging. Although not required for non-human food, as a dog owner, I want to know what I’m feeding my dog. But I admit, In an emergency situation, that would not be a concern. The kit could very easily be stored in a car for a pinch, as suggested by another reviewer. Again, it’s clever. I would definitely buy these in bulk to take with me on mission trips or hurricane disaster relief volunteering, etc. I hope bulk pricing would be available. A++ for a unique idea that is likely to meet a niche need! I would even love an option that includes a cheap slip lead to keep on hand for emergency dog rescues. Read more
