First, I am 5'6", around 165 lbs. Large boned as well. They do run a little long if that bothers me. It doesn't bother me. i tried a L since I am normally between and L & XL. Even with my tender belly (don't normally like this type waist band), it was very comfy. A bit looser I think because it has the tie (sorry for the awful pics, just wanted to show accuracy the best I could, would have tried to dress it up a little if I had been able at the moment- but I think that can be done). This a material I am not used to wearing and it will have to grow on me (loose but not stretchy. Makes me think of a parachute, but I know that's not it), but it is quite comfortable and on the cooler side. It only came slightly wrinkled out of package (exactly what you see in pics). After wearing, I washed and hung it to be able to tell if it shrunk, but broke my ankle and had to wait a bit. Surprise to me! I got it over my cast! So the legs are wide enough to slip over things depending on leg width. Anyway, I don't think it shrank at all (I washed on warm and hung to dry, as I do everything except jeans). They did have a few wrinkles once dry, but I think those spray on wrinkle removers or a steamer - if you carry either for travel would do fine. For me, the length is going to put this more in the lounge pants category, but with the right shoes, and the right height, could be worn out easily- dressed up or down. I usually get an XL in pants, but with the weight redistribution of early menopause, large was just right. So I think I can safely say its true to size if you are a bit taller. (you can see how baggy it is at 5'6", and take it from there. I am wearing tennis shoes). nice to have something new and different for me, and I don't regret it. Read more

They run slightly big and don’t fit quite right, especially around the waist, but they’re still comfortable for lounging or casual outings. Overall, a good pair if you don’t mind a looser fit. I wanted a pair of pants for a specific color. These are perfect. If you want an olive green these are perfect. They have nice top stitching and a comfy waist. They are a bit stiff, no stretch at all. You may want to size up to give it more of a paper bag shape. They are light weight and have a bit of sheen to the finish.
