I did not realize the fabric was ribbed, but they are a perfect weight for fall or spring in a temperate climate. The waist is not drawstring, but the cuffs are. I was hoping the waist on the small wouldn't be too big, and the inseam too short, but they hang off my hips, so the inseam does come down to my anklebones. The pockets are a good size; keys will stay in, but something like a kleenex might wiggle its way out. These are comfortably loose the way I like my clothes. These pants were really soft and comfortable. The fit was good except the length. I ordered xtra large and am 5’7”. They were so long that they ballooned at the bottom when I used the drawstrings instead of keeping them wide at cuff. I might have kept them for wearing around the house if the fabric wasn’t so shiny. They had a definite sheen and I am not trying to draw attention to my derrière. I didn't like the way they looked on me because of the length and the shininess of the fabric. Also, I was looking for something for fall/winter and these are lightweight pants. Great casual pants. The weight is suitable for both summer and fall. Nice accurate fit around the waist and definitely loose as depicted around the leg.
