I love the warm tan color of these pants, perfect for summer. The 100% cotton fabric has a textured weave, making it a little rough to touch. The fit matches the sizing in the listing. The elastic waist is very forgiving, I might have been able to go down a size, but I am enjoying the comfort of the looser fit. The cut is very high-waisted and loose in the crotch making it a more casual fit. The stitching is good throughout. There is a drawstring, but it doesn't go through the entire waist, just the front panel, so adjustment is limited. The strings are really long. I might shorten them. I think these will be functional pants for some people and maybe not so much others. Other reviews have mentioned that they found the pants to be soft. I personally thought they were pretty rough, more linen-like in texture. The legs are also kind of surprisingly short. I have shorter legs and these were the perfect length so anyone with normal-sized legs or longer may not like the fit. Fit-wise, I think it's on the smaller side of the size but maybe it loosens up with wear. Also, the drawstring is very long so feels more noticeable than I generally like my drawstrings. I do like the pockets and the color is a nice neutral that will go with a lot. I feel middle of the road about the pants, however they're practical and could be a good addition to a rotation. Right out of the gate, there was no way NOT to see it, a bright red stain on the front of the thigh of the pants! I mean, it's not like it's as big as the bottom of a coffee cup, but because of the placement, the bright red against the grey screams, "look at me!" It's maybe half the size of a dime. I tried to rationalize, "...well it is kinda small..." However, these pants being about $35, any customer expects them to look new. If they were in the store, they would be on the 80% off rack because of the blemish. I may not have knocked down my score all the way down to a 2 star rating if the stain was down on the ankle or inner thigh, but this placement was pretty bad. I am consistently a 12-14 when I purchase off of Amazon and things usually fit me really well. These did too! I was able to move around comfortably, bend over, and lift my legs. I will say, these have the longest drawstring I have ever seen on a pair of pants and I'm not sure why. I don't know if it's a fashion type thing or what. Luckily it didn't pooch out when tied because that's what I was worried about. As for the pockets on the pants, I do not like the ones on the side by the knee. I mean, they look cute and it's fine for that, but I wouldn't personally use them for anything. They are super thin and because the pants are designed to be baggy, it would be so easy for our items to fall out and we wouldn't even know it. However, the hip pockets are nice and deep and I think good for wallets and phones, which is usually all we care about 😆 The only other thing which may only matter to some people is the feel of the material. I thought the material was kind of scratchy. I don't have to have super soft material like a cloud hugging me or silky smooth either, but this was kinda of itchy/scratchy in places. So again, to some people they may not even notice, but because of me having MS, I do have tactile sensitivity. I will be ordering more pairs of these. First, I love that these are made of 100% cotton material. I love finding natural options for clothing. These are very comfortable, loose, and I love that they are high-waisted. The drawstring also gives a classy look to these even if you are looking for a casual outdoor vibe. I have been wearing these all day in the south GA heat (and it's humid today), and I have stayed comfortable. (Keep in mind, they are cotton, so they aren't going to breathe in the same way as some synthetic fibers.) They are also durable enough that I could easily hike in these and not be scratched up by branches. These pants are definitely made well and are professionally sewn. As far as the cargo pocket size, they are big enough that my hand can fit in them but not terribly deep. Maybe what excites me the most about these pants is that being 4'11", they are not too long on me. I'm 120lbs, and they fit perfectly. I ordered a small, and they seem true to size. Pro: thin and lightweight, great pocket locations, drawstring AND belt loops Con: not soft... feels like really thin denim, slightly larger than expected They're drawstring pants. Got these for someone else, who is modeling them in the pics. They look pretty much as described. What you can't tell from the pics is that the thin material is stiff and feels closer to canvas than cotton. It may soften in the wash, but either way these aren't like sweatpants or pajamas.
