The media could not be loaded. So, basically these have been a lifesaver. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of girls underwear for about 3 years, no kidding. My daughter has some sensory issues and in particular hates anything tight around her waist or basically any compression - we have issues with all bottoms with the exception of some lightweight joggers, and also underwear. My daughter has been wearing the same underwear for years now as the style that I had been buying was discontinued (a very lightweight soft boy short style) and I've not been able to find anything like it....we were getting desperate as they were barely holding up, I'm sad to say. Everything has been too tight all over or around the waist or leg, just not even made it past being tried on. When I saw these, they looked lightweight and I thought I'd give them a try. I bought a size 8-9 for my 8 year old - I was debating on going up a size, but we need them to also stay up so I went with her true size! They fit great - when trying on she said she loved them (I've not heard her say that before!) and asked if she could wear them right then! She let me wash them though (always wash new clothes - especially underwear; I say this as someone who worked in the clothing industry). They were even put in the dryer (I didn't realize that the wash instructions say not to dry in the dryer - I don't have room to hang underwear in our NYC apartment so they're going to have to be dried this way....fingers crossed they keep holding up) and my daughter still loves wearing them. I actually just now ordered another set because I'm so excited that we've found THE underwear! I think the soft, lightweight ribbed fabric and thin elastic that doesn't cut in to skin is the perfect combination. These are soft, cute, and -most importantly- true-to-size! When you first feel them, you'd be certain they were polyester, but according to the tag, they're 95% cotton, and they seem breathable, which is a big deal! These are not good. The material is very thin and feels cheap. They also come with a rip tag that definitely rips the underwear when you try to remove. Who wants an itchy tag in their underwear? On the positive side the colors are nice and they are soft. I ordered the size 6/7 and they fit my 6 year old great. Even with these positives I would not buy them again.
