This had the best set of features for a swim poncho. First and most important, it is warm, including being windproof (I haven't tested the waterproofness, but nothing suggests it's a concern). But it is the combination of other things that made me choose this one over others: easy to use double zipper (so it can be unzipped from the bottom up: makes changing into/out of swimsuit and clothes while wearing the poncho much easier); waterproof inner pocket; pockets have zippers; hood has a rain brim; top of zipper is padded to keep chin/neck comfortable; and cable cinches on hood to ensure a tighter fit. If I had to try to find a negative, maybe the lack of sherpa lining in the pockets...but tbh, I'm guessing there is a tradeoff with having a soft lining and dealing with wet/damp pockets. Read more
This jacket feels warm and comfortable right away. The fur like lining is soft, the pockets are a practical size, and the length hits around the knee which helps keep everything insulated. The hood adds a bit more coverage which I appreciate for colder weather. I selected it while getting ready for a trip to Alaska, and it seems well suited for that kind of climate. This is a very warm coat! I got this hoping to wear it over my riding clothes to ride in, but it is a little bit too large for that. It does have a two way zipper so your legs aren't limited by the width of the bottom of the coat. This is (as it is advertised) perfect for wearing overtop of less warm clothing when you're going to be in and out of cold environments, swimming, etc. This would also be the perfect coat for sporting events or anywhere you wish you could just wear a blanket, as this is super warm and cozy and covers most of your body. I deducted one star for the one size aspect--I am 5'8" and ~150lb. This fit me with LOTS of room but the arms weren't crazy long on me so I am not sure how it would fit someone very tall (like 6'5+). The size was huge. It looks like they would be warm, however I could fit two of us in this robe, which I should have k own since it said one size. Also, I would not order again anything that said hand wash only. Read more
This is a large and warm coat. I know it's not meant to be a coat per se but I am using it as such. It is thick and the material keeps you insulated. It's large enough for a smaller male to wear but also fits a woman as an oversized coat. It appears to be well made and I like the slits on the side because it allows for movement. Read more
