Dorman 924-277 Rear Seat Cushion Cable Guide Pulley Compatible with Select Honda Models

Older Honda Ridgelines come a plastic pulley for the rear seats. This a great replacement for the OEM plastic pulley which wears and eventually breaks. This is notable when the bar supporting the seating does not fold flat against the seat when it is folded. I would recommend replacing the two pulleys at the same as you will have to remove the trim and the seat back to access either one. These will definitely last the rest of the life of the truck. Wow these are awesome! They come in a set of two. They are made of metal and way better than original plastic. They will probably never break and this listing is definitely the best deal on the web. Worked in 2008 Honda Ridgeline. I recommend watching a video I found on YouTube very helpful called: Honda Ridgeline Guide Pulley Replacement for Rear Seat. It took me about an hour to finish, but only because of some hiccups at the end putting plastic covers back together. You will need: 10mm socket, ratchet, and socket extension. Plastic pry tool. Panel popper tool or forked tool to remove plastic "pops" that sometimes stay in metal and need to be pried out and reinstalled in plastic panel before reinstalling plastic panel. Possibly some needle-nose pliers (have them handy in case.) Patience (try and breathe, stay calm, move slowly and carefully, it will work out. Don't rip panels out carelessly, or shove them back carelessly, or pry apart pulley housing carelessly.) The pulley housing is the most delicate part to pry apart; be careful or you will break all the tabs like the guy in the video did. If you push in a plastic tool, you can start to see how the tabs hold it together. You want to curl and pry in a way that releases the tabs and does't just snap them off... be careful and it will work. I succeeded in not breaking any of the tabs. Read more

When I would raise the rear seats in my 2007 Honda Ridgeline, the legs would not fold down. They'd stick straight out and get in the way and also you could bump your head on them when loading or unloading things from the back seat area. These Doorman rear seat cable guides are the perfect solution! Absolutely excellent and half the price of the Honda brand! These come in a package of two. I paid $7.99 and did the replacement of the old broken original plastic cable guides myself which took 90 minutes. I watched a video on YouTube explaining how step by step. Did it all alone and it was not difficult if you just take your time. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the ABN 5 piece auto trim removal tool kit! Made the job so much smoother and didn't scratch up the plastic trim pieces or break any clips that hold the trim to the vehicle frame. Dealerships charge around $400 to replace the old original broken plastic pulleys. These Dorman won't ever break. I basically saved myself $392! Everything was great with this order! The only issue I had was that I was a bit confused as to if it came as a pair or just one item so I ordered two and ended up with two pair. Not an issue though due to the price is right and I can gift the other pair to another Honda Ridgeline owner.
