I recently tried Dr. Bronner’s Organic Shaving Soap for the first time in Lemongrass, and while it’s different from the typical shaving cream consistency I’m used to—it’s much more liquidy—the product itself is impressive. One thing to be mindful of is that the lid tends to leak a bit, so it’s best to store the bottle upside down to prevent any mess. That's really the main reason I'm not giving it 5 stars because it is a little less convenient. That aside, the shave quality is great. The formula creates a nice lather sans any synthetic foaming agents like SLS and provides a smooth, comfortable shave. Plus, the fresh lemongrass scent adds a pleasant touch to the experience. Yes it’s brown and runny but oh so good. Since you now know it’s runny use precaution when opening. The brown runny soap will lather up nicely when wet. It creates a nice white foam when applied to desired shaving area. My Gillette blade glides nicely removing hair from face and neck. The scent i purchased was lavender and it’s perfectly balanced. Most importantly for me is how well it leaves my skin moisturized. It’s slightly sticky but not annoyingly so. This is my new go to shaving soap and at a great price point! Read more
I have very sensitive skin that irritates every time I shave. I don’t like all the junk that is put into most shaving cream so I was trying to find a better cleaner option. This is not it! I like Dr Bonners soap and felt I could trust the brand and didn’t look at the reviews before purchasing. This is the worst product I have ever used. It’s literally their normal liquid soap but in a squeeze bottle with a different label on it. This product just spills out everywhere, there’s no controlling it (why is it in a squeeze bottle ??) It suds up like soap but there’s no lather or any kind of skin protectant/aid for the razor. I got terrible razor burn from trying to use this product. If I could return it I would. The only pro is that the packaging looks nice but then you try to open it and it’s an absolute disaster. This has Tainted my respect for Dr Bonner products. I bought this because I have really sensitive skin and get razor burn every time I shave my legs. I read that having shaving soap would help that. I chose Dr. Bronner’s because it is a brand I trust as I use other products by them. The smell of this product is great and I like the packaging, however it’s very runny and liquidy and makes a mess every time I open it. It would behoove the company to make the product thicker so that it was more efficient. I probably wouldn’t buy it again. Though I appreciate that it’s organic and has good ingredients! Read more

I'm allergic to most products with bad chemicals in them, so I'm always looking for more natural alternatives than regular shaving cream or products in general.
