I bought this brace for my sprained thumb. I have small hands and wrists and the one sizes don't always work. I bought this to wear until I went to see the orthopedic and get a better one that fits. although it fits pretty good it's still a tad big. it has gaps even though I got it snug enough to where it's not to tight cutting of my circulation. I can still move the base of my thumb around in the brace It's been a week wearing it day and night and the although it's does help a little bit the brace hurts my thumb and its not very comfortable. I work as a cleaner 5 hours a day and after a while sweeping and mopping my thumb is aching and hurting. told my doctor and they don't seem to listen. They just keep saying the brace looks good. So I just decided to buy a different one on Amazon to try. But everyones hands are different. So I recommend at least trying this one because the price is cheaper and it doesn't feel cheap. I have had issues with tendonitis in the thumbs of both hands, doctor recommended splinting or bracing to rest the tendons. I purchased this thumb brace not for the copper, but the pricing. It claims to basically be a one size fits all, but it is questionable on the sizing. I have XL hands when it comes to gloves and yes, I am able to secure the splint, but the large middle strap barely attaches and in order to get it to hold I have to make it tighter reasonably comfortable for long periods. Also you need to place the securing tab very specifically to avoid having the rough hook and loop rubbing on your hand. The other two straps are fine and I have no issues with them. It does function to stabilize the thumb and helps give some relief. I just wish there was a little mor strap in the middle or there was extra material to protect the skin from the hook and loop. I may be a little rough on the rating, but since I am experience pain and this is supposed to help to reduce the pain, I find the skin irritation discomforting. I believe for a smaller width hand there would be fewer problems. Read more
