Love these! My first pair of Doc boots. They are easier than I thought to break in—my main issue is the heel area. I have a wider forefoot and there seems to be enough room in the toe area. My high arch causes some rubbing at the top but that’s already stretching out ok. I don’t think I could walk a long distance yet due to the heel, but everything else is feeling pretty good already. Beautiful boots, I can get away with wearing them to the office with black leggings and a nice business-casual top. I wear a size 40 in Birk and am generally a size 9.5, and chose a size 9 in these boots and they are perfect. The only downside is they take a little extra time to lace up in the morning! Read more

I bought these because I thought they were the perfect "mama docs." However, they are SO cute my daughter wants to steal them. True to size and the Doc quality I have loved over the decades. The breaking in process was no different from my past docs, but like my past docs, onces broken it they are SO comfortable and my favorite boots to wear! Read more

The media could not be loaded. Mine are as soft and have that already broken in feeling as they say they should. Like many, I got my first pair of Docs as a teen, and remember the breaking-in process being hell. My 20 eyelets looked cool af, but let's face it....I dont think they've ever been comfy. Even after 20 years, they still rub in all the wrong places on the rare occasion I bust them out nowadays. And I wore the crap out of them into my 20s. The softies are a dream on these 30+ year old feet. Except for the lack of cushion inside, of course, and that causes some heel pain as the day goes by. I'm not even on my feet all day....I drive a bus, and my feet get pretty tired. I wear a size 8.5, and my last pair of 8s are really snug and kinda hurt. So I sized up to a 9 for these, and have all the room for my little piggies now. I swapped out the laces for some elastic ones to make sliding them on and off easy without having to un-lace and re-tie every day. But then they were too loose, and flopped around on my narrow feet. I need to leave the laces some room to stretch, so I can't really tie them tighter. If you have similar issues with size and comfort, I'd definitely recommend some Dr. Scholl's work insoles and wool socks. HUGE difference. Filled the extra space for me, and now it feels like the boots are one with my feet. These are definitely the lightest Docs I've owned, and the floral design is a very cute touch. I do wish they had zippers on them, but the elastic laces are coming in clutch. Either way, I'm sure I'm going to hang onto them for a long time, now that I've got them just how I need them. Soooo cute! High quality. That leather smell…love. Not looking forward to the break in process, as they are really stiff and tight at the center of my feet (as expected). The footbed offers great support. The embroidery is subtle and beautiful. Seems true to size and would definitely be uncomfortable if I’d sized down. Do not size down if you have wider feet.
