Absolutely LOVE these boots!! Not sure what the difference is between these and the Pisa, but the price, durability, and quality of the leather are top-notch! I really love the platform sole - the extra height takes it over the top. Starting the 2nd season of wearing these and every time is a delight - Dr. Marten’s for the win! Read more

Very comfortable, especially considering the height. The build quality is unmatched compared to similar cheaper “goth” style boots. The soles have a give that flexes just enough to be friendly but not spongy. If you wear normal socks when breaking in ANY boot you will suffer. Use military or hiking boot socks like ‘Darn Tuff’ or ‘Fox River’ equivalent to preserve your feet. Allot of people complaining of pain are using “cute” looking socks over functional boot socks and then wondering why it hurts to walk around. Don’t be that guy, be smart and you can wear these all day without issue. These boots truly are unisex in styling and build. Read more

Just invested in my first ever pair of Doc’s…and boy, was it a good decision. You’d be hard pressed to beat the quality of these boots. Out of the box the leather is thick and feels like it will handle wear well. I love the chunky soles and the height they give me, haha. Also, thankful this boot was made with a zipper so I don’t have to lace and unlace every time I wear. Since combat style boots have been my everyday footwear for several years, these were comfortable to me right off the bat. My arched feet love them. For folks who aren’t use to wearing boots, however, heads up—the soles might be a bit hard at first. I’ve seen a lot of other reviewers say there is a breaking-in period. Hang in there, though…buy an in-sole if you need…once you get used to the fit, you’ll be a Doc’s fan for life. Also, my two-cents on the sizing on this shoe: I am typically somewhere between a U.S. women’s 8 and 8.5. I got this boot in 8 (they don’t come in half sizes anyway.). I am happy with the way they fit, but take into consideration I like my shoes to lean to the roomy side and would rather a bit of looseness in the heel than to have my toes pinched. If you are a solid U.S. women’s 8, you may find an 8 in these shoes on the floppy side…my best suggestion is to measure your foot carefully and read up before making a judgement call on wether a 7 or an 8 is better for you. Wishing everyone who reads this as wonderful of an experience with these boots as I’ve had. Read more

Great looking boots but way too heavy!! If you have thin legs like me the platforms will weigh you down. I had to return them and will stick with non-platform Dr Martens. Read more

This particular style or model of Doc Martens is way different in terms of built and comfort. The leather has an adequate amount of thickness, but the made in England is stiff and thicker. It has a soft leather which is comfortable out of the box; moreover, the thickness of the soles are masculine. It will take years to worn out these soles! A good combat boots to wear for everyday use. Read more

Aesthetically they’re gorgeous but felt uncomfortable and would take time to break in. I went for the knee high in pisa leather! Read more
