These are my DREAM pair of Docs, as they have tall lacing and a perfect height lug heel. They are absolutely gorgeous and fit perfectly. I'm normally a 7.5 in boots, and I bought my usual size in Dr. Martens which is size 7. So definitely size down. They lace up tight around my ankle (giving flexibility for any size ankle--mine are small), and have plenty of room in the toe box. They are a bit heavier than regular boots, but I'm used to lug heeled styles, which all have a little heft. These will look sexy with dresses and leggings in the Fall/ Winter. Love, love, love them. I have never owned the older Dr. Martens that people have been loving forever, so I cannot compare the new ones to the former in comfort and quality. However, I and the girls in my family (15 to 62), are happy with the look, durability, stability and comfort of these new Dr. Martens (the three styles we have tried). Many people comment on the weight of the item as a negative but I (62) find the weight comforting in some odd way and I thoroughly enjoy wearing them. Read more

Love this pair of boots. Such a good price on Amazon too. I had to try two pairs to get the right size. I normally wear 8 but ended up with a 7 on these as they run a bit big. I did have a strange tight feel around my ankle bone and I couldn’t find out what was causing it. Even after adjusting the boot tongue few time it was still there. But once I got the size 7, it seemed to be gone. So overall great boot, comfy and stylish. Read more

Love these. Comfortable considering the height, although, a little awkward on stairs and with driving a manual. If I’m gonna drive and want to wear these boots, I keep driving shoes in my car. They look amazing and I have danced hours in them with no problems. Read more
