These are so stinking comfy. Get them! The build quality is solid. The rip stop on the outside is backed by some sort of polyester like fabric. My feet don’t feel as hot in them like all other docs I have purchase, so it must allow airflow. However, the rips too does make a crunch noise every step I take. 2 thumbs up there. The gunmetal color is nice. I am not sure how I feel about the zipper. It’s not enough for me to take off a star, just different. But, the zipper itself is heavy-duty construction. Despite my bunions, thin skin and tendency to plantar fasciiatis, these boots are super comfortable right out of the box. The sole doesn't feel stiff and allows for a natural gait. Nothing hard presses the malleolus and the ankle can swing left and right. Keep this in mind if you need ankle support. I personally don't and prefer a softer feeling on the ankle. I got half a size bigger to wear them with 2 pair of socks for extra padded comfort. I use them without a zipper, which is removable, because I like to modulate the tightness throughout the lenght. Keep also in mind the zipper makes the boots suitable only for very thin ankle. If you are prone to swelling I'd go with laces. Read more
