I love everything about these, except for one thing. Finger length is not accounted for in measurements, and because of that, I had to go through 3 different sizes to get the correct fit. Otherwise, these gloves are fantastic for shelling/fossil hunting. I have the 3 fingers I need available to pick up small finds, and am able to keep my hands warm during early mornings/late evenings. My favorite part is not having to remove them to pick things up from tide pools/shallow water. All in all, highly recommend. Just know, if your fingers are longer than average, go up a size or two. Needed some gloves to fish and ordered these for me and my hubby. They fit perfectly and are warm! Love that you can peel back the thumb, index and middle finger to put bait on or line. They also have Velcro on the front of them and a clip to keep them together. Would recommend these ! Read more

These are fairly warm...until they get wet. I use them for ice fishing. When i arrive at the lake, I put these gloves on. Because they are not bulky, they make it easy for me to get my gear into my sled and my boots on. once i'm out on the lake, i flip the fingers back so i can set up my tip-ups and manipulate the line if I need to. But just by the design of these gloves, doing that will get them wet. After a while, the area where the finger tips flip back will get worn exposing the skin. Water gets inside, and once that happens, they are practically useless. i have a small propane heater, but with the neoprene on the outside of the glove, it makes it hard for the water on the inside of the glove to evaporate. My advice is, if you don't need a glove to be fingerless, get a different glove. If you do need it to be fingerless on occasion but don't plan on getting the glove wet, these may work for you. I bought these to fly fish in the winter they work but the little hole were it slides open get cold I heavy winds and the Velcro is really good sticks and get nice and snug on my hands and both gloves you can take the upper finger part of the gloves off so this is a good pair just a little to thick for what I do hard to tie a few flys on but they also have really good grip on the plan and finger tips.
