I’ve been using this pillow for about a week and I’m still trying to figure out which direction I prefer to use it. I am predominantly a side sleeper, though I do sleep on my back sometimes too. The wider end is better for sleeping on my back, but the narrower end feels better for side sleeping. I can get away side sleeping on the wider end too, but that end doesn’t have quite the right shape for my shoulder. It’s annoying having to turn the whole pillow around when switching between side and back sleeping so I’m trying to get used to using the wide end exclusively. What I can say so far is that even though it feels like a firm pillow, it’s actually very comfortable. My old pillow would sometimes hurt my ear but this one doesn’t. It’s definitely not a fluffy feather-soft experience that your head will sink into, but I like it anyway. There’s less hunting around for the ideal support thanks to its molded shape. Another thing I can talk about is pain reduction. I have a really stupid, inexplicable habit of stretching in the morning before I get up and tweaking one of my neck/shoulder/back muscles. In the past, I would have a stiff neck for at least a week. I did it again just a few days ago and I think this pillow helped. I could move a lot more with less pain than previously, and my neck was totally better after 2 nights. I think it’s a good pillow overall. For me, I just have to get used to it more.
