This is a really fun and clever tool for making homemade ice cream cookies with consistency, and without the usual mess. It's well-designed and relatively easy to use, you just press the metal ring into your tub of ice cream, and arrows on the handle guide you on which direction to twist it to cut out a perfect sandwich-sized scoop. Then you simply press the plunger to release the ice cream right onto your cookie base, top it off, and you're good to go! The quality feels solid, with a sharp enough metal ring to cut through even firm ice cream, and the plastic wires do a great job providing support and lifting the scoop out cleanly. It's a great serving size for an ice cream cookie for an adult, and works surprisingly well. It’s also easy to clean, which is always a plus. The wires might eventually stretch and loosen a bit if you use it a lot with harder ice cream, because they are a plastic wire material instead of metal like some of the images make it seem, but so far mine’s held up great. Time will tell in the end! You might need to smooth out the ice cream occasionally to keep scooping efficiently as well, but it's overall still very convenient, and at a great price!
