It fits my 5'8" husband really well. He's 220 pounds and they look like they belong on him. The fabric is good quality and the cut is flattering even though it's a slim fit. I was pleasantly surprised by these pants! The fit is just right and the quality seems high mid tier for a pair of slightly dressy work pants. I’m 5’8” and usually buy pants with a 30” inseam so I wasn’t sure what to expect with these at a 28” inseam. However you can see from the pics, they are not high waters on me. They actually fall just about where my 30s usually do on my shoes. They have a nice break and a small amount of gather around the ankle - enough to keep your ankles warm in colder months but not so much it looks unkempt. I’m usually not a fan of pants that taper but these have a slight taper that feels just right and keeps from looking too baggy when you need to look a bit more dressed up. I usually wear 36 but ordered the 38” waist just to be safe. They seem to run true to size, the 38s are just a little loose around the waist but a belt helps to tighten that up a bit. Let's get to the point, the reason to purchase these pants is because you don't fit the typical 30" inseam. But you don't want to make a huge sacrifice in quality to get something that fits off the shelf. I was looking for some gray dress pant because they are versatile. I wanted something to easily upgrade my casual style. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on dress pants BUT I also don't want to pay for alterations that cost nearly as much as the pants. That's just illogical! Well that's the benefit of these pants. You get a decent pair of quality pants at a reasonable price. They are not the highest quality but definitely not the lowest either. And the price is actually great when you subtract alteration costs. Now they do feel a little longer than my other 28 inseam pants. But that doesn't ruin the look and I didn't measure to verify. I'm just going with the gut. I think the pants looks great as they are not too tight but the slim cut makes them more "casual" look. On the whole, these are some pretty decent dress slacks. I have to say, I'm very pleased to see a company that is catering to men of shorter stature, as it can be very difficult to find a good fitting pant when you're not tall. So, big props to AbleTree for that - I hope they continue to provide options for this underrepresented demographic. The build quality and materials are surprisingly good for the price. The key thing to mention here is the fabric weight, which is thinner than a usual dress pant, so make sure you're ordering these to be used in the warmer months. These have the sort of feel of what are often referred to as "tech pants." That said, if you work somewhere that requires this style, or have an event in the summer that requires dressing up, these would be perfect. If I were to improve anything about these pants, I would suggest upgrading the buttons, which look/feel kind of cheap. But otherwise, aside from the thin material, I don't really have any complaints.
