This kit contains almost anything you need to repair a zipper. I sew almost every day and yet I do Not enjoy replacing a zipper. It takes a long time to remove a zipper and you have to be so careful not to damage the material in the process, then sewing the zipper in can be a real pain. This kit can save a lot of time and frustration. Unfortunately it did not do the job for me as the zipper I needed to repair was X-large in a Men's jacket ( that's why only 4 stars). Tried unsuccessfully to locate replacement zipper pulls locally so took a chance and ordered this repair kit. Sure enough, the appropriate size I needed for my gazebo curtains was included inside. They went on very smoothly and voila I was back in business. There are several other sizes included so hopefully one day they’ll come into use as I didn’t need them now but the affordable price for whole package was something I couldn’t pass up to save me from hunting all over creation - who knew double zipper pulls were so hard to find? This package does not have what I need to fix either jacket. For the life of me I can't understand why the product listing doesn't show clearly what is included in the package. For anyone thinking of ordering this, it contains the following: - 3 x 2.5 mm nylon coil sliders - 3 x 4.5 mm Metal tooth sliders - 3 x 5 mm Metal tooth sliders (Talon/C&C zippers) - 3 x 5 mm Metal tooth sliders (YKK zippers) - 6 x 5 mm Bottom stops - 4 x 5 mm Top stops In my case I needed a 5 mm slider for a nylon coil zipper (not metal teeth). I quickly discovered that a 5 mm metal tooth slider will not work on a 5 mm nylon coil zipper. The other jacket I needed repaired has a metal tooth zipper but requires a larger than 5 mm slider, which this package does not have. Since I've opened the package I am not sure if I can return this, so I think I just made a $9 mistake in ordering this. Hopefully the above information will help others avoid the same mistake. If you do require one of the above sizes, the zippers are all metal and appear to be of decent quality. Unfortunately I was not able to use any of them for my repairs. Read more

This item was perfect. I was able to repair 1 jacket and 1 sweater. Easy to use, I did not follow their directions because I did not want to cut or resew anything on the jackets. Instead I removed the top lock clamp on the upper part of one side of the zipper that has the bottom mechanism (not the side that inserts into the zipper) once that was done I opened the bottom of the zipper with pliers enough to insert into the zipper side and slide it down then I clamped off the top with the lock clamp in the kit and made sure zipper worked. These seemed better than the previous regular sipper repair kit and a lot more sturdy for our clothes. Read more
