So mom has been a wheelchair since she broke her hip 15 months ago, by the time she had healed up she had forgotten how to walk (dementia). Lately she's been getting heavier due to inactivity and more and more unable to respond to commands to stand up. She's in a home and the staff there told us they were having difficulty getting her from the bed to her wheelchair. This lift has made it possible for her to remain in the home she has come to love and not escalate to a skilled nursing facility. Great product, rechargeable battery pack, cord just plugs into 110 and charges the battery. Staff has no problems using it. Well made unit! This is the second great product I've gotten from Drive Medical, also got one of those reclining wheelchairs with adjustable leg raises. Its a great machine as well. Thank you Drive! Read more

This machine was difficult to maneuver, and the bar was too swingy. Many times causing my mother to get banged around! It doesn't lift high enough, we can BARELY clear her bed, which defeats the purpose of using this contraption! The charge does not last very long at all. I want our old lyft back! Read more
