I've had this lighter for a year and 3 months and still going strong (with a little help noted below). The amount of money I have saved by not buying regular lighters is incredible. The drawback is that you need to let the arc touch what you are lighting. It takes a little longer to light a cigarette than a conventional lighter. After you get the hang of it, it's quite easy. I have dropped this thing a few times and thought I had cracked the plastic. It's still perfect. I am ordering another one to have for other purposes. It's great for burning off thread that has unraveled from clothing. As for keeping it working, I was having an issue with the button not working. Sometimes I would have to press it hard to get it to light. I ended up taking the screw out of the bottom to release the electronics from the plastic. Then I used a small flat blade screwdriver to release the top part of the lighter from the base. I found the ignitor switch just slides out from the housing. I slid the switch out and pressed it a few times and the lighter was working perfectly. I slid the switch back into it's slot and put everything back together. It is working just like the day it was bought. I am not sure if one of the wires was pinched or in a bad spot. Regardless of what it was, the lighter is functioning perfectly again. Read more
I love this thing, it lights very well and each charge has a lot of lights in it. The colors are cool and helps knowing how much battery is left. Wind is not an issue anymore. Read more
This is a groovy! I love the lighter in windy conditions It only doesn’t stay charged very long. You get about 20-39 lights between out of it before having to recharge it. Lights makes it look so much more upcscale. Read more
Works great in multiple different scenarios and the battery life is definitely probably the best I’ve seen it. It’s quite durable because of being dropped multiple times. It’s nice and compact if you don’t have a lot of space and it doesn’t give off that good of a light but for a lighter with no flame this is definitely still really good. Read more
I have bought three previous plasma lighters through Amazon. Two had a flashlight or COB light. This one is more basic so it can be sold for less. Pros >>> Smooth working lid has no latches or seals and clicks shut like a Zippo, but without the metal ring/spring noise. No water proof gaskets to pay for or make the thing more bulky. There are 7 LEDs - three for illuminating the circuit board and four for the four levels of the charge meter, a feature that most of these lighters do not have but it is important to prevent being stuck with a dead battery. All rounded corners and no tie loops or latches means it slips in your pocket easier with less bulk. Some of these lighters have a really tiny button that comes up when you lift the lid - this button is so small it is easily clogged by the slightest dust or dirt intrusion and the lighter becomes inoperable. This one has no activation switch involved with lifting of the lid. Cons - Open USB charging port on the bottom of the lighter could get fouled with pocket lint. Plastic body can break if dropped on a hard surface or if stepped on. I will add to this when I learn how many lights you get from a charge. So far, 10 lights and my meter still says 100% charge. EDIT 8 MONTHS LATER - Still using it daily at home. The four electrodes collect tar and dirt on them and will gum up so much that it is harder to get a light. Solution - clean with an old fine bristle tooth brush and some alcohol. Hold it upside down while applying the wet brush and fling out/let it dry before using. It will clean up like new when you do this right. Fouling is unavoidable because the cig has to touch the electrodes to be lit effectively. Battery power is a bit less now, and it never gave more than 35 lights when new. Very easy to charge and the meter is very useful. - END EDIT Read more
This is a great little electric lighter. Works great for the little while I've had it. Just got it from 3 days ago. Charges good. I like the charging lights. Tells you how much charge you have left. The entire lighter lights up on the front side. I would purchase again. Highly recommend it Read more
Bought a lighter and hair products which is wonderful but it was raining and packages were soaked maybe the ups truck drivers could put packages in plastic Read more
I bought this lighter to replace using Bics. It definitely gets the job done, as long as whatever your lighting can be touched by the tip of lighter. For the price, it's fair, but I do have two gripes. First of all, it lights up green, red, blue when the button is pushed. I'd gladly sacrifice this if it made the battery last longer. I do appreciate the battery meter though. Second issue is that my lighter appears to be accumulating the ashes from when I light a smoke. I bought it in Oct. 2024. I'm worried that this will eventually make the battery port unusable. Will update if/when that happens. Read more
