The internal corner ties actually work the way they’re supposed to, keeping my down comforter perfectly in place with no bunching. The duvet cover is a heavy weight fabric, so I don't expect it will wear our quickly. It also doesn't wrinkle if I throw the comforter off during the night. I am Very Pleased with this Duvet Cover. It is extremely soft. And the Easiest duvet cover I have ever had , to insert the cover. The Zipper closure Makes a Great addition. It gives my bed some color and now I don’t have to worry about my dogs getting it dirty. Since it’s easy to get on and off I will be able to wash weekly if needed. I bought this duvet cover with one simple goal: cover my duvet. I’m pleased to report it has successfully completed this mission. I remain unconvinced that duvet covers are a necessary invention for most people. Flat sheets have been doing great work for decades but my new blanket has a major flaw. One side is luxuriously soft, the other side has a weird fuzzy texture that feels like licking a dry popsicle stick. I felt like an autistic kid in a wool sweater. Fully encasing the offensive material in a defensive layer was the only solution. Enter this cover. Functionally flawless: soft, fits properly, zipper behaves, ties...exist (no idea how they are meant to work). No complaints. Aesthetically, I chose stripes, the only design that wasn’t a full floral commitment. It registers as about 55% masculine, which in duvet cover terms is basically tactical gear. The pillow cases are my only issue. They're a little rough and have a bunch of unnecessary material around the edges. The opening is also toward the middle so you can't use that side. I asked a female friend and she said, “It’s a sham.” Which feels a bit harsh and veers into making a moral judgment about the manufacturer. I don't think there was any malicious intent. It's just not a very good design for a pillow case. So, would I prefer fewer steps in the bedding process? Yes. Would I also prefer not to experience popsicle-stick texture against my skin? Also yes. Ties inside and an easy to use zipper minimize wrestling with this King size duvet and keep the enclosed comforter nicely in place . The fabric is a nice color, true to what I see on my monitor and soft to the touch . Minimal wrinkling so far . I am interested in seeing how it holds up to a weekly wash but am optimistic . We'll see how long it lasts. * Stripes are only on one side, making it more of a faff to make the bed. * Comes with pillow shams, not pillow cases. Overall, while I probably wouldn't buy it again, I do think it's decent quality for the money. If your budget is tight, it's a good choice. If you can afford $20-$30 more, there are better options.
