I actually have a HotHat brand 9.5” portable DVD player, however it looks exactly like the DVD players shown as being compatible. My guess is that these players are mass produced, then sold under various brand names. Nevertheless, it fits my player well. The open side is bit larger than player so it’s not a tight fit, but so far the elastic band does a good job of holding it in place while I use the extra area for the remote control. The zipper side has enough storage space to hold the extra connectors, A/C adaptor, and cigarette adaptor will a little bit of room to spare. As for the case itself, it feels pretty solid. I wouldn’t want to drop it off the top of a building, but it feels like it should provide decent protection. All and all, it seems like a pretty good case for the price and I have no complaints. This item should be marketed as an all-purpose hard shell case for road warriors. Yes, I realize it was designed for a specific DVD player and I have absolutely no doubt that it is perfect for that, but I saw this case as one that could fill a variety of helpful roles for a traveling man or woman, and that's exactly what it does. Most importantly, the hard shell is made for durability and strength, able to withstand that rigors of being on the road and like a round-the-clock security guard, protects your valuable item (s) from harm. This case fits easily inside my Swiss Gear carry-on bag, which provides further support and protection. So it's small enough to fit inside another bag, but large enough to accomodate all manner of cords, electronics, and miscellaneous devices. I appreciate that zippered compartment which allows easy access to items place there. If I need to access something quickly, it's immediately visible and quickly retrieved. Additionally, that compartment is large enough to handle a wide variety of items and helps secure the primary item it's protecting immediately underneath it. I can fit two tablets I use for different purposes in the main compartment as well as my Samsung phone if I so desire. The elastic band stretches and protects my primary device from flopping around in the overhead bin. Read more
