For the price, this has so far been a good DVD player. No player I have ever had lasted a long time, so I was looking for one that I can consider a "throw away" if it acts up. It set-up easily, has good sound and picture quality, and the mechanism runs quietly. The remote is well laid out and easy to read. This is a fantastic, compact region-free DVD player! I was really surprised by the quality of build and features for such a low price. RCA cables AND an HDMI cable are provided to support your connection situation. An HDMI connection is even provided on the front for a DVD writer, inputting a game console or connecting a thumb drive. Nice! The remote is well laid out and perfect for one-handed operation. I had purchased an inexpensive DVD player from Walmart that stopped working within months. This one is more solid and I have not had any issues with it all. Good functionality and remote with more bells and whistles than I could need lol. Read more

The unit performs as expected. The remote was laid out by a monkey. It needs to be turned over to an industrial designer to cluster the important functions together. I would send the "never or seldom used" ones over to the base unit to be accessed. Then you'd have a usable product. Read more

Original purchase-December 2024-unit didn't work well. Very touchy operation, but it would work. Used it infrequently, and the player got progressively worse, unit it stopped working altogether. Contacted Electcom Pro directly, and they arranged a new replacement. The new unit works much better than the original, hopefully it will remain so over time. That being said, it's a decent unit for the price, very compact, but the customer service is excellent, so it gets a good review. Read more
