Have been struggling with my chocolate lab's ears for weeks, took him to the vet and they tested his ears and said it was bacteria and yeast and gave a very expensive prescription topical medication. It has worked in the past but this last bout it hasn't touched the problem. The vet never told me it could be mites, I assumed they'd have known if it was, though I knew the brown gunk in his ears could either be the yeast and bacteria orrrr mite poop. Welp, spent $772 for an allergist to tell me $2600 for allergy testing. And gave me 30 days of RX meds and meds to put in her ears that I already said I couldn't get meds into her ears. Then $58 dollars for special shampoo and $38 for paw mousse. Yep...I said it..all true. Didn't use a lick of it. Was soooo pissed off bought this product. Day 5...yeast smell gone...no ear infections which was the only issue she had but specialized vet gave me the whole run of their yeast treatment. She had diarrhea and vomiting one day... which she could have picked up somewhere or the kill off of the yeast caused a Herx reaction..anyway...this product is worth it. She doesn't seem to hate the taste and it made her ear infections go away. Only ORAL med that is way easier than getting something into a dogs ear.
