I’ve used these ear plugs only for one night, so take this review with that caveat. I’ve been using Loop Quiet 2 earplugs for nighttime usage and found they became uncomfortable in the middle of the night and one would occasionally even pop out. At $20/pair, I really don’t want to be losing those things. When I saw these Jayine ear plugs, I thought, okay this is some cheap knockoff of the Loops and probably fit even less well. I figured at $7ish per pair, it was worth a try. Lo and behold, they fit very solidly in my ear canal. I thought they would hurt as the night wore on, but nope. When I awoke at 6am, the Jayines were still securely in my ears, blocking noise with no pain. Time will tell how these hold up over time, but I say give these a shot if you need ear plugs. Summary: If you’re looking for earplugs that block out all noise, THESE ARE NOT THEM. But, if you’re only looking to mute the sound enough to make it bearable, these are perfect! First, I bought these because I was looking at the expensive trending version of them, and decided that $8.99 (on sale) was more than worth spending before I dropped $40-something on the expensive ones. However, after using these for two months, I will be using them exclusively! Notes: The case is difficult to open with even my short acrylics, but that’s not the end of the world. These are comfy enough that I was able to sleep without them being a bother in my ears! They do not block out all noise, only quiet it. For my use (snoring, construction, and on one occasion a 2am card game), the earplugs muted these noises enough for me to be able to fall asleep with ease. They do not hold up to being chewed by a black lab. I wasn’t expecting them to, but I got used to keeping them on my nightstand out of the case which was unfortunately within her reach. EVENT UPDATE REVISION: updated to four stars after using the earplugs at an event with live music and a crowd. In that setting, they’re a lifesaver. I was able to stand being near the front of the stage area but could also hear spoken word without much strain. I thought maybe I just needed to get used to them, but—I forgot to take them out on the way home and realized I wasn’t able to hear, and communicate, lol. So for louder, crowded events they do the job they’re supposed to do. For everyday wear and conservation level, they’re just not on that advanced level like some brands. I’m definitely keeping them handy though! I don’t really know what I expected, but…these are not they! I had great success with Flair earplugs a couple years ago for anxiety but they’re expensive and I quickly lost one (while wearing it fell out unnoticed) so when I saw more reasonably priced ones, I had to try. These claim to be noise cancelling but I get none of that. They’re full-on earplugs. Great for activities requiring them but as far as being able to listen to music or podcasts with no distractions—no way! So, I basically paid six times the cost of a cheap basic earplug, for the same effect. I’ll hang on to them for noisy situations but if you’re buying these on the hype that they can be used to reduce noise, filter sound but maintain conversation / listening tones…in my opinion, they do not. A little hard to get in and stay for my 8 year old. But if yours is a little self conscious about wearing over the ear headphones this is something to consider. ✅ What I like • The multiple sizes of ear tips included made it easy to find a comfortable fit. they felt soft and secure in my ears. • They noticeably reduce background noise (like traffic, neighbors, or a fan), which helped me sleep and concentrate better. • They’re reusable and feel sturdier than typical foam plugs. For the price, I think they deliver solid value compared with more expensive alternatives. ⚠️ What could be better / things to know • They don’t block out all noise — they reduce noise intensity, but if something is loud enough (like heavy snoring, loud music, or very loud traffic), some sound may still get through. • A few times the fit felt a bit snug after long wear.
