I was very pleased with this item. They fit my Loop Engage earplugs perfectly, and I can wear them comfortably with the cord attached. They fit snugly enough that I'm not worried about losing my earplugs, and I appreciate the magnetic part to keep them together around my neck when I'm not wearing them. They feel pretty durable, which is good because I have toddlers grabbing at me constantly I love that they're a fraction of the price of the official Loop ones, but just as good. I also like that they come with a carrying case that can fit both the cord and the Loop carrying case inside. Purchased this for my new Loop Switch 2 earplugs (no way I was paying the ridiculous price for the brand name that is literally the exact same quality). Wore them to my first concert and have to say, SO glad I decided to add this to them. Truthfully, the plugs are so well designed, and stay comfortably in the ears without having to worry about them. So why am I glad I spent a very reasonable amount to buy the magnetic cord? Because the original case that came with the plugs is somewhat useless, and very difficult to get them into, and between sets, or between much louder and much softer music, I wanted to be able to slip them out, but not have to fumble with them going back into their tiny OEM case, or getting lost in my pockets. This compatible cord also included a soft, flexible silicone case which is large enough to hold the earplugs with the cord attached, and does not make an obvious outline in your pocket (and I imagine would be convenient to throw in a bag or purse). At first I wasn't sure why the top of the included silicone case was just a slit, but then after using it, it became obvious that it doesn't need to be any more complicated than that - it just works! This item was great! Same magnetic-type inserts to hold them comfortably around the neck, with no worries about them slipping off onto the grungy ground. And there are slip connectors that connect the bottom of the cord to the magnetic pieces. So simple, but well worth it. And you really don't have to remove the silicone ear buds on the plugs to install the cord, as long as they are not too big, otherwise, just slip them off, place these over the posts, and slip them right back on. Since the cord is silicone, the little loop attachments did tend to slide around the earplug base a bit, but a quick adjustment to slide them so they faced down again, so as not to interfere with wearing the plugs, and I could barely tell they were there. I'm not really a fan of things hanging over the outside of my ears, which is exactly where the magnetic parts hang, but if they are positioned well, hanging towards the bottom instead of spun around towards the top of the plug, it wasn't really noticeable at all, and made wearing the plugs even more comfortable and secure. I bought a pair of these earlier in the year when I kept losing my Loop Quiet earplugs while I was sleeping. I have not lost them since. They are sturdy enough for sleeping and I have not had any issues with stretching or tearing. The only issue I had with my first pair is the coating on the magnetic part wore off as I believe it was just a really thin layer of silicon or something. I'm allergic to nickel and was afraid I'd have a reaction. Happy to report that I have had no issues with the metal. Recently I lost the original Loop Engage pair of earplugs I had. I decided to invest in the Loop Switch 2s and do not want to lose those, so I bought a second one of these lanyards for when I'm actively wearing my new pair. The magnetic part seems to be coated in enamel rather than silicon this time which is a nice improvement. The carrying case for the lanyard is a softer, flexible silicon. It's nice but doesn't have a latch to keep it closed. So far, I haven't had an issue with the lanyard I use for the Quiet pair falling out when I'm not using them, but I'm cautious about it for the Switch pair as those will be worn outside my house more often than not. All in all, this lanyard is great for not losing my earplugs to my bed or wherever when sleeping and it's comfortable enough that I can sleep on my side with no issues. Second time buying these. These are great because they have magnet that closes the loop when you arent wearing them. I used these at 3 different concerts and they worked perfectly. They arent cloth and are silicone so theyre super easy to clean and dont smell. The only annoying thing is getting them on the loops, gets a little stuck because its silicone. Other than that everything is great. I recommend getting a case though, the pouch is came with was a little awkward for my liking. I got a better small coin puch to keep these in instead. Read more
I had my first negative experience with this lanyard. I have had three over the last year and all have worked well. My most recent purchase of 2 months ago failed. The loop caught on something while they were around my neck and the silicone grip that attaches to the loop detached and flipped the single loop. I could not find where the loop flipped to so now I need both a new set of loops and a new lanyard, which I will purchase directly from Loop this time. I'm unable to attach a photo right now and will do so if I find a way how. My other 2 lanyards have not failed yet. I have multiple loops that I keep in the areas that they are used in. Read more
