Love the batteries - like that I'm not throwing old batteries out constantly. Have learned that whatever the battery came with the charger - that is the only tyoe/s that should be put in there for charging - other batteries of different numbers can cause bad issues. Mine was 2300 1.2V + 1100 AAA - theres also 1.5V that uses different chargers be aware of this - I learned this when I went to buy more AAs. Another thing I realized is chargeable have different sizes so you need to match up the correct battery for your item. I bought a cheap lighted battery tree from Hobby Lobby - it said AA1.5V in the battery compartment - I had 1.2V AA and decided to put them in - and they will not fit they are too big - so check what type of battery you need for your stuff. SOOO many things use batteries, I gave up trying to have good quality / not pricey ones on hand and went to rechargables. Bought these and tennergy, these are superior. They tend to need recharging more often than the high priced batteries, but I just rotate them with a freshly charged set. Have saved a lot of money and feel better about not throwing batteries away - and am also more wiling to buy battery powered items. Read more
I previously was a huge fan of Eneloop rechargeable batteries, but not being able to find them anymore, I looked for some alternatives. I've previously bought the 2800 mAh versions of these EBL batteries and found them to be great. When it came time to buy more, the 2800s were out of stock, and these 2300s were in stock. They were also nearly half the price, but after getting them and charging them up, I am pleased to say that the difference in battery life is not noticeable. While sure, 2300 is less than 2800, how much of a difference that makes in my countless remote controls, electric toothbrushes, or the millions of my kids toys that need AA batteries, is not noticeable. The quality of these batteries are great, they're cheap enough to put in a Quartz wall clock, but also work well in a Nikon SB-600 Spedlight. Read more
**UPDATE** Wow, I did not expect this level of customer service. While I was disappointed with my order, I didn't bother contacting the vendor— but I guess they read reviews, because *they* reached out to *me* to offer a warranty replacement. They sent it out, and when I didn't respond after almost 2 weeks, they emailed me again. Turned out the replacement had never arrived, so they sent yet another. Those came in just a few days, and… they work great! I guess that first order really was just a bad batch. Hey, that happens. But they way they handled it almost *never* happens! That's quality. Very pleased. Revised rating: 4 stars! _______ I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but these just do not work. The problem? They won't charge properly in any of the six chargers I own (a Duracell, a Panasonic, two Eneloop, a rather fancy Radio Shack charger, and a crappy unbranded one). I put the batteries in, the light comes on… and after about 5-10 seconds the light goes off. Which means it's not charging. Even left overnight, nothing. In the morning they're between 0% and 3% charged (from those first few seconds, I guess). A couple won't light up at all; it's like they don't even recognize that the batteries are there. Only the janky unbranded charger—which I bought emergency-style at a gas station of all places, and feels so cheap it makes me vaguely nervous to use— seemed to have any effect. It too failed to light up but I left them in there overnight anyway. Next day, they tested at 95% charged! Put them in my wireless mouse at work. One workday later (ie, less than 7 hours of intermittent use) they're down to 69%. Er…? Actually, you know what, no. I give up. Batteries are too leaky/explosive to be messing with suspect ones. I'm out. Oh, and did I mention? I bought these 4 months ago. It's been nothing but fail from day one (they're supposed to come pre-charged; mine arrived at 7-16% charge), and after four months of basically no use, they're going in the trash. What a waste. Meanwhile, the Sanyo Eneloop batteries I bought EIGHT YEARS AGO are still going strong. Eight YEARS. Of constant heavy use. So… yeah. I think you know what to do. Read more
