Solid Performance with Some Limitations
After testing this unit for two weeks, here’s my honest take: The build quality is solid, with rubber molding on key areas, and most advertised features work as expected. It easily handled my mini fridge (peaks at 670W, runs at 340W briefly) without issue. Based on my Kill-A-Watt readings, it should run a mini fridge for nearly 24 hours, which is impressive for the price point. At under $400, this offers excellent value compared to similar models. However, there are some drawbacks: No true pass-through power and cannot charge via solar and AC simultaneously. Solar input maxed out at 74W under optimal conditions, which is disappointing. The AC charging brick uses undersized cords for the wattage it draws, which could pose a risk (car and solar cables are fine). For $15 more, a carry bag should be included, especially since improper storage could be dangerous. Pricing is mixed: solar panels are priced well, but the unit feels slightly high unless wireless charging is a must-have. Update: EBL’s support team was responsive and helpful when I encountered an issue with solar charging (Emerson port may have been defective). They guided me through troubleshooting and offered a solution, which speaks well of their customer service.
