EBL sent me some batteries to review and I loved the AA batteries so much I bought there AAA's. After doing internal resistance, voltage, endurance, and capacity testing I found that these are excellent batteries. The voltage rides a little higher than most NiMH batteries and I found I can use these in some devices that typically don't like rechargeable batteries. Also the price is right. The only thing I don't know yet is what the longevity is. I have a friend that has been using EBL batteries for over a year and he swears by them still. Read more
Note: Purchased June of 2021 in full retail blister packaging -- EBL 1100 mAh capacity 2x 4 pack AAA batteries. I was prepared to be disappointed given some other reviews on this listing and other EBL listings (as well as my experience with their AA's). Many other reviews stating actual capacities were nowhere near the amount of capacity claimed. However, after running these through two different testers, I got near identical results on each of 4 batteries (out of the I bought, only testing half so far). The results speak for themselves. 91% to 94% of stated capacity on the first two discharge tests. (1001 to 1038 mAh on each cell at two similar discharge rates). Given that the testers only drain to about 0.90 to 0.95 volts (the lowest viable usable voltage for most devices and before sudden complete drop off of voltage quickly to zero), these test ratings are within reason of the stated optimal capacity which is often stretched by many manufacturers. The model of testers used are documented on the attached pictures. Note that one drained at around 300ma (the same level as the charge setting) and that tester does not have a discharge-only portion time display. While the other tester drains at 50% of the set charge level, thus it was around 250ma which lines up with the total time it reported as well. I am satisfied with the capacity of the batteries at this time. The only outstanding question is the longevity with the claimed Low Self Discharge. I've ordered these before and they are pretty reliable. I can tell the difference in brightness in my lighting with the new batteries. Wasn't aware that the charge would not last as long as the batteries age. Overall they work well enough for what I use them for in my under cabinet lighting. Read more

I moved from Ni-Cad to NiMH a while ago, and EBL batteries are the best that I have found, after trying several different manufacturers. The seem to be the highest capacity, and I have an assortment of rechargers (110V & USB) to keep them in ready condition. When I need more, for even more battery-powered devices as I accumulate them, EBL will be my choice! Read more
