When we paid a ridiculous amount of money to have our basement finished, we had lights installed by an electrician all throughout. We had thought we were getting lights we could just change out, but instead the electrician installed some special disk lights with promises that those things wouldn't go out for 20 years or so. Fast forward a year, and about five of them were out with others flickering. He admitted the company and the lights he bought from them were faulty, charged us more money, and replaced them with new but similar lights. "These shouldn't go out.... they'll last you 20 years like the last ones should have..." he promised. About a year and a half/two years later, eight are out. Several have been out for the better part of a year. We decided against paying an electrician to come put in more garbage lights and began the search for something that would fit and replace our lights properly. We looked in every home improvement store, tried and failed with a few lights, and even searched the company the second set came from (out of desperation, even though they were garbage) but those were only sold exclusively to licensed electricians. No one could help us. Until we found these on Amazon. They're slightly different and a bit bigger than our old lights and not as flush against the ceiling, but they fit, look pretty nice, and worked perfectly. We bought one, wired it in, tested it, and then went ahead and bought the rest. I don't know how long they'll last, but they can't be much worse than what we had before and they come without an electrician's fee. Our basement is beautifully bright again! Read more

Installation was easy, and this light is very bright. It looks well-made and durable. It is a little bigger than I was expecting, which is a good thing. I've had it installed for only a couple of months, and there have been no issues. I am very satisfied with this product. Read more

Old LED fixture had started flickering. Old one down, new one installed 20 minutes start to finish. Came with wire nuts but I used Wago connectors. Clean light output over shower. Read more

Bought this LED ceiling light to adapt to the top section of an older style, 5 foot tall, free standing 'Torch' lamp assembly that one usually positions in a rooms corner due to the fact that these torch lamps use a 300 watt halogen bulb which emits a lot of heat and can easily start a fire if something gets too close or lodged near the bulb...With some slight modifications, the install came out as if done at the factory. This situation will in pretty much all cases not apply to your intended use but it worked perfectly for mine...Also, I do wish it was brighter but its luminense being at 5000K will suffice for now until a brighter one is found but this was the brightest one in its size for my application that was available at the time of this project. Almost all ceiling lights I've installed have multiple mounting hole patterns to fit different sizes of junction boxes. This one only has one (3-1/2" wide I think), and because of the electronics, I can't drill holes on the unit either. My old junction box has 2 3/4", so I ended up putting in only one screw with a washer. Fortunately it's light enough that I don't think it will fall off the ceiling. But I wished it had better design. Read more
