We occasionally use paper plates. For family gatherings or sometimes to just put fast-food on. These plates are sturdy so you only need one plate and hold up to 2nd and 3rd helpings so less waste. We don't own a dishwasher (that would be ME) and I don't want to wash dishes everyday. That's where these plates come in. These are the only paper plates I buy because I'm environment conscious and I needed plates that were compostable. I highly recommend. We use these for everything and anything and have never had problems with anything going soggy. We haven't put ice cream on them, and I wouldn't just because I feel like ice cream needs to be in a bowl.
