Just received and did a prewash in cold water, dried on low. As with most flannel, fair amount of lint in the dryer filter. Sheets still feel quite soft, used wool dryer balls, no liquid softener. The sheets are of a medium heavy weight, no loose threads, elastic on fitted sheet seems to be of good quality. Will amend review at later date of pilling occurs. Literally the best sheets ever! I’ve never used a product and actually wanted to write a review, but I had to because they are so amazing, and super cute too! These sheets are thick, heavy, and beautifully well-made. The fabric feels solid and substantial — in warm weather, the sheet alone could honestly double as a blanket. Any complaints I have come down purely to personal preference, not quality. This is a sound, well-constructed product that’s absolutely worth the money. That said… let’s talk real life. These sheets are very warm and extremely cuddly — too warm for anything above about 40° in my opinion. They are also… grabby. Like, commitment-level grabby 🐙. Depending on what pajamas you’re wearing, you may find yourself fighting for your life trying to roll over. These sheets want to cocoon you like a mummy. Sweatpants and flannel pajamas? Hard no. I’ve had the best luck with yoga pants, smooth cotton-nylon blends, or shorts. Because of that same grabby texture, they can also be rough on delicate hair. If your hair breaks easily, I wouldn’t recommend the flannel pillowcases without some protection. (A silk bonnet would be a very wise companion.) Overall, I really do love these sheets — but in central Texas, they may not be worth the price simply because our winters are short and mild. However, if you live somewhere with a real winter (temps below 35° that last longer than a week), these are absolutely worth it. Just… protect your tresses and choose your pajamas wisely. Read more
So soft and cozy makes the winter months magical. They don’t wrinkle. The color and pattern are as shown. Would likely buy again. The reason I’m giving them a 4 not a 5, is the depth I have a 13 inch mattress not crazy thick and these barely cover the mattress but they are so soft and cozy that it isn’t a deal breaker. Eddie Bauer makes the best, long lasting, THICK flannel sheets hands down. They will last many cold winters. I have yet to wear a pair out. Our first pair moved to a vacation house where they are going strong. We bought another set 5 years ago for our King bed (still wonderful after many washings).
