These are excellent for lighting candles and lighting the grill. The charge last a while and quickly recharges. We started with two and now have four. One by the grill, one by the office candle my wife likes to burn, one by the fireplace, one charged back up at the charging station. These last longer and are more reliable than a lighter and the extended wand makes it easy to light things from a distance. Read more

These electric candles are terrific! They are very easy to light the candle. I always had problems using the other push button lighters. I would keep pressing the switch and nothing would happen and my finger would start to hurt. These are well worth the purchase. You will not be disappointed! Read more

I have some larger candles in glass jars that get harder to light as the wax burns down. That was my original intention when I purchased these. It did come in a two pack that feels like a value for the price. They work well on candles. However, I recently used one to light the birthday candles on a cake during an outdoor party where there was a light breeze. It was a little frustrating to get the candles going and took a little but more time than expected. It may have taken about 45 - 60 seconds to get them lit. Not an exbortant length but the next time I went to use it, the battery was too low to light it. This is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I think the battery life was a little lower than expected. So I am a candle and incense burner and these have been game changers. Buying a pack of lighters or matches is easy enough until you run out, they get misplaced or plain taken by someone. Add the general safety aspects of handling fire having more flammable items tucked away somewhere isn't a great feeling. Enter these reusable, flexible and wildly safe lighters and so many problems get solved. No smoke, no supply shortage (unless you don't charge) and no trips to the gas station to pay for a light or using the stove. I can't count how many ignitions I've gotten on my first charge which has been almost 2 months now. Safety switch is easy to flip with intention, power indicators bright and count down with use. Ends easy to clean with a damp towel but not a misfire yet. Micro USB included but charging is a bit slow. Highly recommend for any home junk drawer, kitchen or candle lover. Read more

I was really hoping to completely eliminate disposable stick/barbecue lighters since I use them so much just for candles alone. I don't typically like the bendable ones, but I carefully poured over reviews and pictures of rechargeable ones and saw that the stick style have the 'trigger' button closer to the flame end, concerning me that I wouldn't be able to get into very tall, skinny candles. So, I appreciate the longer length of the flex style that has been working for all my tall candles that are at their ends. Also these arrived fully charged. I don't, however, love how they catch a wick on fire...or don't? The lighters are very loud and crackly, and seem to take a very long time to actually get the wick to catch, even though there's a flame. Today, for instance, very primed wicks took dozens of attempts to catch and, by the time 3 wicks were lit, the lighter end was *very* hot to the touch and smelled like electronic melt/fire. I'll continue to use carefully and update if they punk out or anything crazy happens, otherwise, I don't really recommend (I really still like my bbq lighters and will continue to look for a suitable rechargeable replacement) but, if you're going for a rechargeable lighter, this honestly is probably the exact same thing as any other brand here that looks the same, so I'd go for the lowest price on that day and hope for the best. Also, I can't see this lighting anything that can't fit between the little pincers...so, probably no herb, definitely no charcoal briquettes, *maybe* you could get a fire started in a fireplace/wood stove with the right kindling, and I'd be skeptical if it could light a pilot light/gas stove. I'm disappointed this wasn't the end of disposable lighters that I thought it would be, but at least it supplements my use of the plastic ones so I reduce that waste. Read more
