Such a Great Value
This knife sharpener revived my knives. But, there are some things to know. #1. When sharpening knives, go back and forth between the right and left slots indicated. The manual that comes with the device confirms this. #2. Do not push down. The machine does not need your strength. #3. Do not be afraid of running your knife (knives) through the machine more than 4-5 times. Some of my knives were beyond dull, meaning at least 6-8 passes through each slot were needed. READ the manual. When it comes to scissors, only the right sides can be sharpened, meaning only the right slot can be used for scissors, as well as serrated blades. This machine is well worth the money. But, you must follow its instructions. Otherwise, Youtube this product and learn that way. Read more

Best sharpener so far!
I have had several automatic knife sharpeners. This one is by far the best. I've taken kitchen knives that look like they have been used to cut nails with gouges and dings everywhere. This unit grinds them down to a basic edge in minutes and then puts a finish edge that's razor sharp in a few extra passes. Highly recommended. Read more
