$40 and up is definitely within the price range that can get you an effective spin scrubber. One of the recent Spin Scrubbers that I tested was $22, and while it definitely looked the part, even a light amount of pressure would cause it to literally stop scrubbing. Thankfully, this affordable spin scrubber actually performs very well. Within the last few months, I’ve been DJing more frequently, and that’s caused far more sleepless nights due to chronic pain. This spin scrubber was ordered to reduce the strain of cleaning my tub. It was at the worst point it’s ever been, so this meant it was the best way to put this scrubber through its paces. The first step in cleaning my tub is closing the drain cover, then spraying it thoroughly with Scrubbing Bubbles. It has the bacteria battling properties of bleach, without the harmful odors. It stays like that over night, which allows the non toxic smelling bleach to break down the grime. The next step was using this fully charged Spin Scrubber on its highest setting. It doesn’t feel brittle at all, though it’s not quite strong enough to get some of the toughest areas. That requires a Brillo pad with a handle grip, and some old school scrubbing for around 5 mins. One more Scrubbing Bubbles spray covers the tub, and it sits for a while, before the last Spin Scrubber cleaning pass. Since this was the worst that my tub has ever looked, it was the perfect test. What I’ve found is that this is great for regular tub maintenance, if it gets any worse than that, you’re still going to have to get in there and simply scrub the old fashioned way. Even then, outside of spraying the tub overnight, or before going to work, it cut my actual cleaning times down substantially.
