While replacing the flint on my propane and mapp gas torch lighter, it occurred to me that an electronic plasma flame lighter might do the trick without worrying about flints on a mechanical spark lighter. Bottom line: It works great, especially when running a torch head on an extension hose where it goes out and has to be lit multiple times while the hose pressure in the line is balanced. It's a super convenient game changer. Not sure how many lights between charges, but it's been in use for a couple weeks and hasn't required a charge. It appears to be well made and it works every time for a great price. Read more

My main reason for getting this lighter was that it works in the wind and it was great to use for lighting cigarettes however the arc is not wide enough to actually get a cigarette in there. You have to kind of go in an angle For candles or lighting your gas grill fantastic nice and long. If you want to carry it around to light your cigarettes, the length makes it a little cumbersome it holds a charge for a really long time Read more
