I've had an Exped 10 for years and got this one for my partner because it was cheaper. This is seriously just as good, maybe even more comfortable. The Exped packs down small but not much; no one is taking these types of pads backpacking anyway. I would definitely recommend this over the Exped due to cost, you're really getting the same thing. Seems just as good quality and durability as the Exped. The fabric is the same, the foam seems the same, this one lays flat to the edge, same thickness. I'd say this one has the bonus of pump inflation, too. The Exped manual pump doesn't fit the holes on this one, fyi. Read more

Purchased this for a five-day camping trip for some extra comfort in my RTT, using it on top of two two-inch foam mattresses and it worked great. I love that it has both air and memory foam allowing you to adjust the firmness. I found it most comfortable when it was about 75 to 80 percent inflated. Built-in pump works great and it is easy to deflate and put back in its pack. Will probably buy another one to cover the entire width of my tent. Read more

I really love this camping air mat! The foam core makes a big difference—it’s far more comfortable than mats that rely solely on air. Both my son and I found it very comfortable to sleep on, and the outer material is durable and easy to clean, which is a huge plus when camping. It also folds up nice and small, making it perfect for packing in luggage when we need an extra bed for one of the kids while traveling. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the valve plug came loose on two separate occasions, causing it to slowly deflate. It would be great if the valve had a screw-in mechanism to prevent this from happening. Despite that, I still think this was a great purchase and a good value. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend and will likely buy a second one soon. Read more

For the price, this foam/air mattress is comfortable to sleep on and well made. It will inflate some without using the built-in air pump and we use the air pump only for making the mattress firmer. However, you do need the air pump for deflating and getting the air out of the foam. Trying to fold this mattress to a size where it will fit in its storage bad is difficult without using the air pump. I also like the quality of the two storage straps you use to keep the mattress rolled up for storage. It's a good size for two adults to sleep on, stays inflated through the night, and with its high R rating, it kept us warm during a cold night camping in Provence town, MA last month. Read more

If you're debating between the 3-inch and 4-inch sleeping pad - just go for the 4-inch. I’ve used them both, and the 4-inch is noticeably more comfortable. The extra thickness really makes a difference when you're trying to get a good night’s sleep outdoors. One thing I didn’t like about the 3-inch model was the air pump placement - it’s on the top surface, which feels awkward and easy to step on by mistake. The 4-inch version has the pump built into the side, which feels a lot safer and more practical. I can’t speak to long-term durability yet - I’ve only used it once on a two-night camping trip, but so far it’s holding up great. One thing I appreciate is that you’re not locked into using a proprietary air pump. If the included one ever breaks, you can just use your own without any hassle. Read more

It was relatively easy to set up. It came vacuuming sealed so we couldn’t get air into it initially to start pumping it up but once we figured that out it was fine! A lot more of a workout to pump up than I thought. The comfort was just okay. It wasn’t the comfiest thing but if you are in a pinch it will work fine. Ended up returning it to find something a bit more soft to sleep on! I felt like the quality was good though but just not what we were looking for Read more

We tent camp quite a bit so being able to be comfy was important to me so I wouldn't hurt or feel stiff the next morning. The pump makes it really easy to inflate in a few seconds and to deflate it to put away. It actually deflate very flat so it doesn't take too much space when it's time to put it away. This is thick enough for me to feel comfortable when sleeping on it. Just don't forget to recharge the pump after each campout. It did last for 3 or 4 different campouts for us. Read more

Great air mattress. Used tent camping, in mid July, in the Midwest, on top of a cot. The temp was very hot and humid. The air mattress did deflate some during the night and during the day. Was fast and easy to re-inflate with the little switch. Even though it lost some air, the pad made a huge difference if you are a side sleeper and sleeping on a cot. Great value for the money. Super comfortable. Would recommend for ground or cot sleeping. Read more
