OK right up front I LOVE these hearing aids. So here is the story. I have a $5000 pair of Widex hearing aids that need repair. So I bought a $250 dollar set of another companies hearing aids in the interim. They worked but they were just amplifiers. So I'm going to send those back. Then I bought this Elehear Pro set. Now these are real hearing aids! These are almost as good as my $5k hearing aids. I love the iPhone (or Android App). It allows volume changes and changes in Tone (equalizer). They paired with my phone easily and work so well I'm in Love with them. I have had hearing aids for almost 10 years and these are GREAT! The case charges them and they work for almost 20 hours. If you can't afford the $5k hearing aids I would recommend these. They are $600 but well worth it to get your real hearing back. I'm not kidding these are great from someone who KNOWS HEARING AIDS! I've been wearing these Beyond Pros for over a week now and so far they have performed very well. My previous pair was a Sony CRE-C20, which were nice for not being visually noticeable and hiding out of sight. However, they didn't perform well in the busy supermarket - the sound from nearby conversations was just too loud and overwhelming. They also made my ears sore after wearing for half a day. Had to return. These hearing aids, in contrast, are much more comfortable. I can wear them all day with no problems, and they handle crowd noise superbly. Was in a restaurant the other day and the AI handled the background conversations much better than the Sony's. Sentences from soft spoken persons have been more comprehensible and easier to follow. The voice quality itself has been impressive due to the low latency, at least in part. Bluetooth has been clear and solid for phone conversations - haven't tried streaming any music yet. The Elehear audiologist took my audiogram from Hear USA and sent updated settings to the Beyond Pro app, along with emailed recommendations on what type of dome to use for each ear. The app itself has been really easy to use. The hearing aids are a little on the large size, but I'm unsure how much of a difference that makes (for example, compared to the Sennheiser All Day Clear) when using reading glasses. I also purchased the Elehear hearing aid dryer, to help protect the delicate electronics from the high Florida humidity. The Elehear support staff have been great in responding to my questions. For the price I don't think you will find a better value. Read more
Quality seemed good. For me, I didn't notice any improvement in hearing, it made noise I don't need to hear louder, like foot falls, doors closing, scraping noises, etc. I didn't care for the feel either, but I didn't use them for the entire recommended break in time. I just don't think my hearing was bad enough to benefit from these, so I opted to return them. No problems with the return. Read more
I got these mainly for tinnitus but couldn't believe the things I actually wasn't hearing when I first tried them. They work very well, fit nicely, are very easy to use and the support has been really very good. I took my hearing test with them on, sent the results and within a few hours had a customized plan sent to me by the audiologist. They do take some getting used to, but the sound is very clear. They definitely make a difference with my tinnitus. The information for setting them up was easy to follow. I purchased the dry box with the hearing aids, and I am glad I did. Use of a drying box is highly recommended across the industry. Read more
I had a way to test my hearing with and without the aids. All the modes tested the same. Got them to send a new program. Same results. Just appear to amplify everything the same. Could just be a bug due to all the bells and whistles. Maybe they will fix it someday Read more
These Elehear Beyond Pros are AMAZING !!! They have AI technology and Deep Neural Network (DNN) found in the most expensive prescription hearing aids. I recommend working with the Elehear audiologists to determine the best settings and domes. Use the Elehear hearing test and submit it or your own Audiological examination results. It is essential to find the proper dome type (open, closed, tulip) and size dome for a comfortable and secure fit. I prefer an open medium dome to permit a fair amount of natural sound, minimize occlusion, and allow air circulation. I find all of the provided modes useful (TV, Restaurant, etc) and I have even added two more. I customized a mode for eliminating the road noise in the car while listening to the radio and another for cutting out the background noise while attending my Grandson’s basketball games. Another feature I appreciate is Elehear’s ability and willingness to remotely download firmware updates. Your aids will always be up to date with the latest improvements available. These $500 Beyond Pros saved me from purchasing the $7500 prescription hearing aids from my audiologist (1/15th the cost). I am not naive enough to believe they are totally equal but if your loss is mild to moderate then these are an excellent place to start. Why purchase more than required? Whatever selection you make remember it is the dome selection and fit that will determine your satisfaction with any hearing aids. I rate my Elehear Beyond Pros as AA - AMAZING and AFFORDABLE !!!
