Bought this juicer for my elder son who is school going as doctor suggested us to give carrot juice on daily basis for healthy eyes. Searched for so many juicers not sure about the other brands. This Elite gourmet brand is known to me earlier I brought rice cooker of this brand which is quite good. So with out any doubt I ordered it on some deal price. From the day I got this I was using it daily for extracting carrots , apple , beets and other veggies. The powerful high torque and low speed motor results in extracting more juice and less wastage which is good to have.Another best thing is I have used the pulp in other kind of dishes like curries, carrot cake, cookies and in salads etc.,So I don’t see any wastage. Read in so many articles that the cold pressed masticating slow juicers are efficient and gives good nutrient juice with less speed. Good build quality and handsfree use which is good. 5.2 inches of XL feeding chute is available to allow large cut fruits and veggies for extracting the juice. Two containers are given one is collecting the juice and the other one is for collecting the pulp. It occupies less space in kitchen counter top because of its tall design. I really enjoyed the juicer while it was working! It was quick at juicing carrots, ginger, turmeric, and other vegetables. However, after about 50 uses, it stopped functioning properly—the vegetables no longer move from the blades, and the extracted produce still contains a lot of juice. I guess it’s time to throw it away. I’m also uncertain whether I should have purchased an insurance plan or if the policy would have covered this kind of issue. Read more

I have tried two more juicers after my initial purchase of this juicer ($300 one and a $600 Hurom). This machine did a much better job than both so I retuned those and got a second one for our weekend home. The issues reviews list for this machine (clogging with celery, slightly wet pulp, pulp sometimes accumulating under the auger if doing batch juicing) also exist in $300 and $600 machines. The trick is to chop the celery into small pieces to avoid clogging and the pulp is actually much more dry than Hurom. This machine is also mold-proof in that there is no hard to clean section in the container that catches and accumulates sneaky leaks (Hurom had this issue). For the price, this is a great machine!
